I have a 4500, 6.4 with 4.44's and the aisin. It's pulls harder out of the gate than my 2500 but at 12k dry weight, it's not nearly as quick. You can feel the torque multipliers are there just the massive weight is holding it up a bit. My tech is getting around 9.5 mpg with the pto running during services and 10.5 out on the highway.

I have a 6.4 2500 with the 4.10s and love it, but there is a new cab & chassis 3500 for sale locally but it has the 4.44 gears and Aisin 6-speed auto.

After pulling with my 4.10 gears Id guess that 4.44 would work very well. (of course gas mileage will be atrocious)

Any info is greatly appreciated.

I would put a flat bed on this 3500 if I got it, just doing a little homework first. While my 2500 pulls fine, I think the lower gear would be even better and now that Ive used my 2500 for 2 years I would rather have a flatbed. These newer 4x4s are ridiculously high off the ground and with the stuff I do, it would be easier with a flatbed.
