How often do the plugs require changing? It looks like that motor sits way back and would be a PITA to do!

Yes, 100k. But changing them on the 5.7 is no picnic either.

Gorgeous engine!
Was it the factory, or dealer that tried to round off your alternator bolt?
Man, a Legmaker intake tube would complete that picture nicely.

You...can't...see...the...engine....... :hahano:

Seriously tho, I bet it would look much better if he took the plastic shield off and just let the intake be visible. Add the valve cover SRT beauty trim bezels and it would look like the car engines.

So much plastic to hide it.

What's the point with the plastic covers anyway? Never got the reason why all manufactures put a cover on the engine.

Donelam304 - you could improve the intake piping with little modification. then throw in a better panel filter.

Coil packs / location look no different than the 5.7. Should be easy with Hyrdoboost.

The vacuum booster on the 1500 made the 2 rear driver side cylinders a PITA to change.

Whaaaaaaaaaaat? The last thing a 1500 needs is more power to allow guys to tow more than the chassis can handle. It's the gas engine a 2500 should have.

Not so much for towing but for fun! SRT8 cars and Jeeps I think Ram can handle it!

Cool beans, but now I know why they put those covers on the engines: to hide all that spindly wiring all over the place.

Yikes.
