6.4 seems to be coming alive

not sure if I'm just getting more liberal with the right pedal or not but my 6.4 feels significantly more lively/powerful. I just rolled over 13,000 miles and I'm starting to notice it seems to rev a bit quicker and accelerates a bit faster.

anyone else notice this?

Yeah, mine started running better around 11K. Just seemed as if it had loosened up a bit and rev'd easier.

that's great! I like it! I've always had new cars that were more practical than powerful and a second vehicle as a work truck that was never really new. So I haven't had much experience with owning a new vehicle with a higher powered engine. I guess when you're used to cars with a peak of 150 hp, you don't really feel the loosening up factor.

True. I've had three new generation Hemi vehicles and they all did this. My SRT8 didn't take as long and neither did the 5.7L Ram.

Have just over 8K and am observing an eagerness to rev; like accelerating from a stop. It's just so fun to drive! :superhack:

There was an article, IIRC on trucktrend, where they were long term testing the PowerWagon. They said at around 12K miles, the truck just woke up and starting running hell of alot better.

I'm at 12,800 on mine, and i'm still waiting for mine to wake up.

Yeah, tuning a 2015 is a LOT more expensive than previous year models.

I am at just 10K miles. My truck is not a dog by any means, but it certainly doesn't set my hair(if I had any)on fire. I hope I cross that performance threshold.

Most cars feel a lot better after 10k of driving. I know my when i bought my AMG, they told me to baby it for a little bit before pushing it

Yeah, my truck was never a dog but now it's a lot more fund to drive. I definitely get to my destination quicker. but now I have a new problem though. I'm getting even worse gas mileage.... :naughty:

Woo Hoo! I am at 9,000. I guess I have something to look forward to. As said above mine is not a dog but not an animal as some report.
Reek you mentioned your mileage dropping... mine has nose dived over the last couple of weeks. I think they have already started putting the "winter blend" in the tanks. I have lost about 1mpg. Really glad the price has been averaging around only $2/gal.

I think the gas around here might be the winter blend too. My Ram lost about 1 mpg, and my Prius lost about 3 mpg's. Oh well, the ram still gets decent mileage for being as big and heavy as it is.

not sure if we have winter blend in California but I think my drop in mileage is inversely proportional to the increase of grin factor on my face. I think they call it Hemi foot around here.

CA has a lot of oxygenators like winter fuel year round for emmissions.

so then the seasonal winter blend in other states would be 'regular blend' for California year round with no winter blend available. :naughty:
