6.4L HEMI accessories that Do or Do NOT work.

OK. I am starting this thread for the simple reason of us with the new 2014 Ram 2500's with the 6.4L HEMI and what we have from experience either know that they work or do not work on OUR NEW trucks or our NEW engine.

I just got done talking to a friend of mine that works in the service Dept at the dealership where I got my truck. Yes these trucks are very different from any previous years versions. Frame, suspension, engine, rear-end, and a ton more.

I know that the K&N CAI that is listed on gotexhaust.com does NOT work on our trucks. It is also the same part # as the 5.7 HEMI's.

This does not fit our truck without a lot of fabrication and modification.

We're basically starting from scratch on these new (2014) trucks. I'm interested to see what kind of electronic "tuners" will hit the market for these trucks. I'm assuming something has already been designed to work on the 6.4 SRT cars, maybe something will sort of carry over from that? or maybe it will be similar to a 5.7 truck tuner?

I'm not so much wanting more power as I am better fuel economy. (of course, who wouldn't turn down mo powa!?)

There is a tuner our supposedly. It's the Diablo programmers. But if it is for the srt motor. It's nothing like ours. 2 very different motors.

Yep. I hope it isn't like last year's 5.7 HEMI. Diablo didn't come out for it till December 2013

I haven't done anything yet. Diable was supposed to come out for a programmer for our engine. But nothing yet.

I am new to this I have been frantically searching for cool air intake kits prefer K&N and programmer like bully dog or superchips.

I have not been able to find anything for my 6.4 l engine all I want is intake kit and programmer so please help.

There is nothing yet. But you can put the k&n filter that fits in the stock box in the 5.7 HEMI in our Stock box.

I would appreciate it if anyone finds a intake kit for the 2014 ram 2500 6.4l engine. I am also lookin for a programmer. Send me a message or post it in here that would be great.

I was wondering if maybe the spectre brand would work if you bought individual parts and make it work. But it would not be the same as a kn 63-1561 part number. Let me know what you think. Hopefully they have one made for us by Christmas time.

I will definitely post info when I find it. On the Spectre parting and piecing. Yes it would work. But you would have to have a place that had all the parts and would let you test n fit to see what would work.

I guess it is like ff said play the waiting game. We could buid one that might work but I think be best to wait until the one designed for the 6.4 comes out for cool air intake kits and programers. I am still looking and post it here when I find something.

New update on cool air intake for our 6.4l. I was at dealership service getting oil changed hr said we should not install aftermarket stuffon the truck until after warranty has expired (100,000 miles) because it could void that part of warrnaty he has seen 3 incidents that a after market programmer was installed and caused 1 engine and 2 transmissions when they looked in to see the history of the pcm computer.
But he did say if we get a mopar cool air intake and have it installed by a mopar technocian it will not void the warranty. Just thought yall would like to know that so I am now looking for a mopar cool air intake kit.

With being said I have a K&N filter from old truck 2008 4.7l K&N 77 series cool air intake kit I bought 2 so I could swap them out while other one was dtying after cleaned.

They always say that. And yes, if you are raw ******* your truck and blow the motor, you will be responsible for the repairs. No matter if you have a programmer or not. I work at a bike shop, and we hook all the bikes, Atv's and side by side to a computer to see how they have been operating it. And if you was abusing it, you will pay for it. It's always been like that. I'm not wanting a programmer to go 200mph. But I want it to make the engine more efficient. Mopar has already said the engine is detuned. The biggest reason it's detuned EPA regulations and DOT regulations.

Thats what I thought as well just want to save gas and if I get more power that would be better as well. But I will be getting the mopar cool air intake kit when it comes out let me know if you find one for our big beast 6.4 monster. They even told me they are going to put our 6.4 monster in the 2016 ram 1500's

You can already get a 6.4 in the 1500 and the cars. It's the SRT8 edition. It's got a lot more hp and tq than ours. It has 470 hp & tq. But it's all peak hp and tq. Where ours is available at mid-range. Ours has been re-tuned for towing.

I thought Moe's said the DiabloSport tuners were ready for the 6.4 now, but I can't fine it on their website now.
