I have been running it since about 1k on the truck. Changed it with 7500 on first Amsoil fill. I have almost 23k on the truck now and am going to change it soon. I've towed quite a bit with this fill and it has around 12k on the oil, so I feel it's time.
I do pull samples every time I change it and post the results over on the synthetic oil thread. Im kind of the "Amsoil control sample" because I dont mix weights and strictly use Amsoil lubricants and filters.
If you have the time to wade through the 715+ pages, there is a wealth of info and no shortage of intelligent, helpful guys on that thread who are willing to share their knowledge and experience/opinions.

Does the amsool help with the noisy valve train on this 6.4? I'm at 33k miles and thinking of using something other than the penzoil ultra... a 0-40w just gives me the chills every time I think about it lol

I've been running Amsoil since about 5k, and I now have just under 40k on the truck. The last change was at the dealership (it was just too cold for me to have the ambition to do it myself) so it has Pennzoil Ultimate Platinum in it. I never noticed any loud lifters when the Amsoil was in it, but I do hear them now when the truck is cold.

Pretty soon I'll do another change, and I'll have to listen for the tick.

I try to change it every 5,000 miles because it is an easy number to remember.

Good luck.

I went with Amsoil SS 0W40 on my last change. I am running the Mopar SRT filter with it. It has only been in there for a few hundred miles, but I do think the 6.4 is just a tad quieter with it versus PUP 0W40 I ran on the last change. I pretty much follow the OLM, but I don't log many miles, and do a lot of short trips, so I usually go a little over a year on a change. If I did more miles I would probably be comfortable going 10K+ miles on this oil.

I can't say whether or not it has helped stave the hemi tick away. I put the Amsoil in at 1k and have around 23k on it now. I'm on the second fill of it, going to change it this week. Always quiet and smooth valvetrain.

I run the Amsoil 0w40 Signature Syn. I have done 2 oil changes. I change it once a year per manual as I only put on about 5k a year. It does not cure the intermittent lifter clatter at startup that I have. There is no rhyme or reason to mine when it chatters. Truck could be warm and sat an hour or very rarely at a cold dead startup that it did the other day. Most of the time it does it when slightly warm. I am using the amsoil e2 filter this time also.

Yes, there is a very obvious audible difference. I'd use almost any reputable oil over PUP.

Around what mileage did you guys get your first oil change? I'm at 1800 right now. I did read into the synthetic oil thread but **** that gets me confused. Just want something that'll help my truck run good and help last longer

I did mine around 2500 miles. It still looked clean, but early oil changes only hurt your pocket book a little. Waiting too long could hurt your pocket book a lot.

The only difference in the product codes are in the init of issue i.e., qt bottle, gal jug, case, drum, etc.
