Anyone running an AFE 54-72103 on their 6.4 Hemi?

Was considering a cold air intake for my 6.4 Hemi, but can't find much out there.

K&N kit looks unimpressive, looks like it's going to suck hot air.......AFE has a cold-air kit for the 6.4L Ram, but I can't find anyone running one to see if it improved mpg or power at all.

Anybody on the board here running one?

The K&N would be viable with that fiber glass hood that redirects air from the hood scoop to the air box. There are a couple members running the AFE- they should chime in soon.

to be honest I don't have any experience with these on the 6.4 but I have personally used AFE on 4 different vehicles recently and was very impressed with them. better throttle response, mpg, sound, slight bump in power. on the 2 boosted applications I felt a large increase in power as well.

Sorry don't know how to tack a link in here so you'll have to search for it.

Don't expect any massive gains in power and mileage and you'll be fine. You won't notice any difference in sound level from the stock intake. It's a well made unit with nice fit and finish but is pricey.

I would take a look at the Mopar cai for the 6.4 Challenger. No idea if it adapts to the ram 6.4.

The angle on the thorttle body for the truck 6.4 is different than the car 6.4
The K&N would be good with the fiberglass hood that redirects air from the hood scoop to air filter box is probably the best set up I have seen. At least while at speed.

i had the k and n on my truck for about 11k

since have put the stock system back on

seems to me the truck runs better with the stock intake

and is nowhere as crazy loud

I installed the AFE on my truck and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. With the plug in, it's as quiet as stock. With the plug out, it has a nice, non-obtrusive grumble.

Had my friends shop make one for me. 30* bend pipe, and added the breather tube and maf hole... Cut it to the correct length and scuffed it up some to make it looked polished.. No errors, do not really know about power/mpg, but it has to flow better with it being smooth....
