Not sure if it's because I have a sunroof, but I find the wind noise a little excessive. Not nearly as bad as the wife's fj cruiser but it's a lot louder than my '97 gmc.

yeah, I don't have a sunroof but I think it's my mirrors - power folding tow mirrors. Either way, my stereo and that mufflex exhaust thing drowns most of it out.

My door windows don't seal right. If I run the windows all the way I hear hissing while on the highway. But if I just tap the window down, not opening it, just relieving pressure on the seal, it quiets right up.

I have whistling noises also but I think they are from my WeatherTech visors or the ridged steel shorty antenna I installed. I did those mods right away so I don't remember what my truck sounded like stock.

I have an annnoying whine from the D/S door/ window at 105-115 MPH,
such a PITA. haven't figured out exactly where its comig form, but its wicked loud.

Ill have to see if there is a upper limit where it goes away, maybe 125?

why yes on a closed course, never on a public highway

I have the sunroof too, but don't think it's excessively noisy. I'm assuming you mean with it open. I'd attribute it to the combination of sunroof, clearance lights, tow mirrors, big flat front end, and running 20" tires at 70-78 psi. I just kick the Alpine up a couple notches and keep smiling :)

I had AVS brand rain guards and they had a significant amount of wind noise. I changed them to WeatherTech in channel and the noise is almost gone. I do think out side mirrors contribute to the wind noise, bc when mine are flipped up its quieter than down. Just my $0.02

I noticed additional wind noise as soon as I installed my avs rain guards as well. I don't think it's excessive by any means (but then I usually have the stereo cranked), but it was noticeable over stock on the highway. Almost went with the in-channel style instead, kinda wish I would've now.

Had a tuner on my 09 1500 4x4. Supposedly raised the governor to 140 with it. Did see 135 a few times and 120 quite a few. Wish Superchips would come out with a tune for my new 2500 and the 6.4, I wouldn't run her like that but I would like to have the torque management and shift points improved.

I hear it form my mirrors.

fold them in once when driving ( I know:crazy:, just be quick about it) and a lot of it goes away.

I also rid with my mirrors flipped out because I honestly feel I can see better. I like the vertical mirror orientation as I came from a 1/2 ton ford that had tow mirrors on it and they were permanently vertical with the blind spot mirror on the bottom...just like ours flipped out.

I also think that my RAM doesn't have as good as door seals or insulation as ford my ford. I noticed it big time on the test drive

It's with the sunroof closed. It really not that loud, I thought it was radio static when I first heard it, and it's worse in a cross wind. I guess it's not too bad, I am probably just expecting too much lol.

you are right. it honestly is nothing to gripe about. I actually like listening to the truck still. learning all the noises it makes if you know what i mean, its still a new truck. I have tried turning the radio on but it goes right back off within seconds or minutes. the radio sound quality sucks anyway (tradesman)

My 14 has had wind noise from day 1. Not sure if it makes a difference or not but mine is a half ton. I don't have a sunroff or any wind deflectors. It's not super annoying but is noticeable especially at highway speeds. I will fold my mirrors in tomorrow if I think about it and see if there's a difference.

No real wind noise with my 14. Not that I have noticed anyway, but I did come from a 13 Silverado that was quite noisy in comparison.

Now that my new truck has tow mirrors I do notice a little more wind noise.

Just installed the window deflector things and hood bug shield. the window deflectors definitely make some noise. I actually pulled my mirrors in this morning on the highway and i cant notice a difference anymore, just louder now. still doesn't bother me.
