I have a 2016 3500 6.4L. Brand new basically with just over 1,000 miles. Gas Cap warning on dash. Hook up code reader, ELM 327 generic Bluetooth reader and get no codes. Clear the codes and code remains. Used Torque Pro & Car Gauge Pro with the same results.
My only goal was to read & clear the code to see if it returned. What's the deal with the code scan oddity here? Forum & internet searches just crop up with scanners that work with all OBDII systems or people who haven't used a scanner before.
