Ok, ready to replace the Firestone 285/60R20s. Going to keep the stock rims and suspension is stock. The Cooper STT Pro LT275/65R20 are listed as 34.49" x 11" and 3750 lb rating - these won't rub at all, right? Any reason not to go with those? The 295/60R20s is slightly shorter but .5 inch wider. Pricewise, the 275's are WAY cheaper so that what I'm leaning towards.

Are the Cooper STT Pro's loud on the highway? I want a nice looking tire and need some traction around the farm but I don't take my truck mudding or anything crazy. The Cooper ATP or AT3 just don't seem to have a real aggressive look. Never had a "mud tire" on a truck - the AT3's where on my old 04 Ram - just don't know what to expect. Thanks!

I run the 275/65/20 in the atp. I got them at a Discount tire/ Americas tire and i wanna say they where 1100.00 OTD and I got a 75$ mail in rebate as well- Couldnt say no. They don't rub, and are a thousand times better than stock. ITS AMAZING how much better the truck rides. I am a fan of cooper tired, will just have to see how they hold up. they are wearing good, the real test will be how many miles I get out of them- Problem is I only do 10k a year so it's gonna be a while before they bald.

I've read mixed reivews, lots of guys love the Pro's and say they're quiet for a mud tire, then I read about a guy who said they were too loud and got rid of them. Either way, they are heavy, so expect some mpg loss.

Yep, that's what I thinking - hard to beat the price on the ATP or AT3s. Just love the look of the STT Pros but kinda nervous if I will like them.

Ya I saw those on Cooper's site too. Like the looks but the price is crazy on them. Even more than the STT Pros.

Same use case here - have a small farm, but also do some long highway trips and wanted a tire with better grip than the firestones that would be reasonably quiet on the highway.

I went with Cooper LTZ Zeons, and couldn't be happier with them. Don't know if they come in a size that will work on the stock rim, though.

I have 35" Cooper ST/Maxx on my truck now. They are a heavy tire but otherwise I've been very happy with them. Good in the snow and off road, minimal noise for an aggressive tire and wearing very well.

I just put on a set of Yokohamas in the 275/65R20 size and the taller sidewall made a fantastic difference in ride quality. It's still a 3/4 ton when you hit bumps and such but the impact is much softer now. No rubbing or issues with the height difference from stock. Only gripe I have is they like to "wander" on grooved concrete roads but the ride and grip on snow/rain/dry roads is magnitudes better than the **** Firestones.

I put them on my truck about a month ago very nice tire. A little hum off them but not as bad as other mud tires I've had before. I think if you don't need a mud tire I'd go with the maxx that's what I was looking at but they had the set of pro's in stock and gave me to good of a deal to pass up. As for the tire it's self it's a excellent tire and I don't regret it at all.

Anyone running the Pathfinder AT tire from Discount Tire. Its made by Hankook for them and almost identical to the Dynapro ATs. Just curious if they hold up on a 2500.

Got the pro's on mine in 305 70 18 and they are wearing great. Got over 11k on them and rotate every 5500 miles or so. I'd estimate I'll get 40k off them at the wear so far. They have gotten loud though, but I like the noise. I think less miles between rotations would quiet them down. Rotated them a week ago and they sure got loud from that. I also have a 2 inch level.

I went with Toyo OpenCountry AT 295/60/20 they are a little louder than stock but much more stable than the Transforce 63ac9d2bacf6487a61cebd63872defb1.jpg

Nitto RidgeGrappler... put a set on the wife's mega, I love them. They ride so much better even aired up to 75ish. Seem to work great off-road. 295's. They get my vote...
Or the toyo at's, they're hard to beat.
I love cooper tires but their prices are getting outta hand. Who do they think they are, Toyo?!? Lol
