I have hydro-boost and I have a 6.4 Hemi. I'm not sure if it is the packages my truck has? I have the 22A Tradesman package, snow cheif, I have the entire build sheet...heavy duty engine cooling, 220amp alternator, etc. Maybe its just the package? I do not have another 2500 to look at right now. I have been a mechanic for 10 years, I am 100% sure I am looking at a hydroboost system under my hood. Now I am very interested of why I have have it and apparently others do not.
I too have the same model 22a. And it is a hydro-boost system. Maybe what he has is a lighter duty , load rating so to speak.

I have the 2015 tradesmen 22a with hydroboost, i dont understand why the 2015 power wagon has vacuum boost. These are both with the 6.4hemi. I think by having vacuum boost it takes away some engine power and if by chance there is a wee tiny leak somewhere your brakes are toast. With these new trucks the brake bleeding proceedures are not what it was in the old days,i think there is a requirement of special tools and hooking up to the computers to do it right.

I solved my braking issues by replacing the front rotors and pads at 70K miles with EBC RK series and matching pads; I’m at 92K miles and they are doing great. Night and day difference. No more oozing to a stop. Saved my bacon couple of times when I had to panic brake. I recently upgraded to 20” wheels and 35” tires; brakes are more than holding up.

On my 3500, everything has been great so far. But the braking on this 9500 pound monster has always sucked. Thought it was a fluke, but I bought a 2500 this year and the same feel.
