Just want to confirm that there is no drain plug/bolt on these 2016 2500's with 6.4L. I didn't see one when I went to apply some neo magnets on the underside of the truck, and my limited searching online seems to signify the same.

Basically I just need to get an aftermarket diff cover with drain plug, correct?

Correct, no drain plug. Also, you will be limited at the current time to either a PML cover or a AEV cover if you are wanting diff cover with a drain plug. With the 2014+ 2500's, the rear sway and track bar gets in the way. Older models had more choices in covers with drain plugs.

Installed a AEV on mine but is pricey at about $300. I think the PML covers start around $200 or so and will get you a extra 1/2 quart capacity.

no they do not. But I don't know if I would bother with an aftermarket, the reusable gasket seals very well, and I rarely ever see leaks, pull the 13mm bolts in about a min. drain and tighten them back up.

No drain bolt. I just bought a vacuum pump and pulled out 3.5 quarts of fluid and re-filled. I found the rear sway bar to be more of a problem then the lack of drain hole. Refilling was a pain in the neck.

Well the filling is easy for me, I have a gallon bottle with a pump, with RedLine fluid, that I can just refill and re-use in the future. I mainly just want to make draining easier, not having to remove everything or use a pump, and getting some more capacity at the same time. I guess if an extra half quart is all we can get out of it, that's better than nothing.

Yeah I sent PML an email to get on the "waiting list" for when they get them finalized. Looks like I might as well do front and back.
