Anyone running the Falken AT3w tires? Was curious if you do have they gotten loud? I am not real worried about wear as I only drive 5k a year but still would like them to last longer than the firestone a/t that came on mine. Ive got 12k miles on them and will be replacing them before winter. A friend of mine has these tires but only has 3k on them so noise is not an issue yet. Any info would be great as they look like great tires and reviews are awesome but none about road noise. I dont mind some hum but dont want anything that will sound like a helicopter. I had some Mastercraft Courser AXT on a jeep grand cherokee. They feathered and at 45mph it was HORRIBLE sounding and deafening.:favorites13:

Well they are more than half way gone but have seemed to level off which is weird. This truck's sole purpose in life is to tow our camper which is around 10k and haul wood. I could probably get another winter out of them but they dont have traction in wet grass i would hate to experience snow, slush, ice with them. I would say most of the miles on this truck have had weight on it and in it.

Forgot about the multi quote... I have those mastercrafts on my wife's grand cherokee and they are horrible just like you said, going 70 they aren't bad but going 45 to 60 they are actually louder than the courser mxt's that are on my truck.

I think you'd be super disappointed with these. You can't take reviews from 1500s owners and light trucks. It's another animal with a 2500. These tires are just too soft for the heavy trucks and you'll be kicking yourself. If you don't rotate 3K miles, you'll have a bad cupping on them they will be ruined.

Stick with -
Nitto
Toyo
Goodyear
Cooper
Bfg
I personally run coopers-
And as stated above you can not go off of a 1/2 ton review for a 3/4 ton truck- These trucks are heavy and since u "Haul Primarly" I would be looking at a stout All Terain Lt tire- unless that wood you are getting is being loaded in ur truck by a fork lift and you don't offroad.

I understand they are softer that is why they have the snowflake rating due to tread compound. My father has ran the wild country xtx which are also snow flake rated on His f250 diesel for years always had good performance from them. They don't last terribly long but great traction. I am also looking at the **** cepek trail country and the mickey deegan 38 AT.

Ur truck weighs a lot more than that old f250- I don't know about a snowflake rating - Never heard of or seen that before - Not saying it's not there just never seen it - Maybe that was thier way of saying M&S rated?

My father's truck is an 03 with a 6.0 so it weighs dang close to my 7500 pound truck. Tires are rated at m+s or some call it mud and snow rated. The snowflake with 3peak symbol on the side of tire means the tire is rated for better traction in freezing conditions. Hence better traction in snow and ice. The tread compound stays more pliable at cold temps. There are not a lot of tires with this rating out there. Its surprising no one has ran these tires yet. Hopefully some one will respond with first hand experience with these tires.

I run them in a 35x12.5x20 all stock suspension and wheels. Ive had them on for about a year and have 21000+ miles on them with 5k+ of that towing a 10k+ lb trailer. Ive rotated them twice in that time. They are quiet, have excellent traction and are wearing beautifully. I will absolutely buy another set when these wear out.

Im normally a BFG guy, but tried a set of KO2s prior to these and was very disappointed. I still have the original KOs on my two other trucks and they are great tires. The KO2s wore very quickly in back while towing. I replaced them at 7k with these ATWs.69ea8de09923fa88f4eb7eeaa1455c46.jpg

I have the Falken wildpeak AT w3 installed about 5k ago. Just an awesome tire looks like Falken did their homework , it balances out very well and keeps very steady at highway speeds. When racing in Mexico It felt great at 130+ mph

That is a pretty good report. Thank you! I experienced rapid wear of my stock tires on the rear in the first 5k miles or so while towing my camper about once or twice a month. I rotated them and they dont seem to be wearing as bad right now but traction on anything other than dry pavement sucks. Man you drive a lot to put 21k on a truck in a year plus having 2 other vehicles.:favorites13:

I bought the Falken AT3s the same week I purchased my new 2500. I had the same tires on my previous truck, and never found them to be too loud. IMO, they are a perfect balance of great traction (both on and off road and including rain) and durability.

Just my opinion, but I don't think you will be dissatisfied with these tires.

I've been interested in these since I first heard about them over a year ago but they don't come in anything close to stock size for 20s and I don't want to go up to a 35. I'd run them in a second if they were available in 285/60r20 or 295/60r20. The closest they've got, the 305/55r20, my local tire shops won't install because they're 4 load indexes below the stock tire. I couldn't even get them to do the 305/65r18 which is 1 load index below the stock 125. Glad to hear good reports on them though, in case Falken ever decides to release a size I want.

Tow a 9k RV a few times and no issues. I am looking into bilstein 5100 to firm up the ride for daily use and towing sag

Anyone have the bilsteins? And towed with them? 13ba9dfc8d2f4cc23fd563e414e09f2d.jpg566997cd69a174097269ee7f5cf54143.jpg915d6e02930330d03c42bc76106fb440.jpg

That's a 1500 that comes stock with P-Metric tires though. My 2500 came with Load Range E tires with a load index of 125. The 305/55r20 is a load index of 121 so no local tire shops will order or install them for me. Damn lawsuit happy society.
