Thats what I'm talking about. My last gas engine truck got 11 empty 8 towing no matter what. So having a 3/4 ton trick getting this kind of mileage is really nice.
I've towed a 2300 pound enclosed trailer, a 17' Lund host, and about 11k worth of excavator and all 3 times I got between 9 and 10 miles per gallon. I think that's just what I'm going to get towing.

City driving ..

The 12.6 or the --? Honestly could be either one lol; stop and go puts the mpg right in the crapper. Does pretty well when you're just cruising though. I live near a major university and when all the college kids go home for the summer and the traffic drops substantially, my mpg goes up substantially too lol. Once the MDS kicks in, I see the instant readout hit and hold 35 mpg pretty regularly on the the city streets at around 50-55mph. Alas, the traffic lights and such drop the average to around 13 in the summer and 11ish during fall and spring semesters.

City driving, I'll get 10-12 mpg... on the freeway, I'll get 17.5-19.5 mpg... 6.4L, 4.10s... ccsb 4x4. Currently have 4500 miles on it.

I must confess, I have never hand calculated my mileage. Computer shows 18.5 over the last 500 miles or so. I need to find out what it really is with the next fill up.

When my dash says one thing, the calculation typically comes out to something way less. Last time I filled up just last Monday, the dash said 13.5 average. The truck took 28 gallons, and I had gone 306 miles since that last fill up, same station.... 10.95 mpg actual.
