I don't have a 2500 series ram yet, but i hope to before the end of the year. With that said on my 1500 Silverado, in the summer i typically see around 3- 5 psi temp increases while towing. I've seen as much as 6 or 7 on a particularly hot day
My rear tires warm are set to 40 psi (35's). When it was negative 7 out they went down to 27 psi and went all the way back up to 40 on the drive.

When we started the trip I made sure pressures were set as required. Only had the thing a week so didn't have to do much. When the light cam on The pressure in the back tires showed 94! Lowered pressure when we stopped for gas and the light went off shortly after.

Yours is a 2016 right? I haven't heard of the light coming on for over-pressure before....

It is a 2016. If they didn't come on because of the high pressure then I have no idea what triggered it. Was a pretty good temperature change between Ohio and Southern Alabama which probably led to some of the increase. I will make sure I have them around 72 when I take off for home Friday and see what happens.

Will pay top dollar for tpms fixed

I bought a 2016 2500. The tpms warning lights stay on with aftermarket wheels and tires. I want this to go off. I'm located in Houston. I'll drive up to 200 miles to get the tpms pressure set points lowered from 80 to 60.

And I'll pay $200 to get it done. Can anyone help?

Is there anyone in Houston Texas that can do this?

I'll pay $200 for anyone who can set new tpms pressure points on my 2016 ram 2500. Also in Houston

I'd love this fix on my truck, too. Anyone out there between St. Louis and Chicago able to do this?

Which tool?

I live in Massachusetts and I don't believe anyone near me has the correct tool to reprogram the ECU to lower the thresholds. I would love to drive somewhere close and pay someone to help me as my local dealer can no longer do it with the ram scan tool.

I would be willing to buy the Autel tool but I'm confused about which one to buy? I have been looking at scan tools and the Autel tech support department claims that the Autel TS601 tool will reprogram the tpms setting to anything I wish and I won't need an access code from the dealer. I have heard of other people using the Autel MS906 or MS908 to do this? Which is the best option and can anyone offer any advice?

Or is anyone close with a tool that can help!

@Sheepdog - What part of MA are you in? I'm in CT and I have the AutoEnginuity tool with the full Chrysler enhancement. I can modify a lot of settings in the truck that no other tool I know of can, so it's pretty likely it can do the tire pressure. If it can, I'd be willing to help.

EDIT:Reading some of the stuff on the Cummins forum it sounds like AE can change the threshold, but you then need something else that can perform the RFHM replacement function to actually update the values.

I just read all 18 pages of this thread. I'm looking at 17 ram 2500s. Is this still an issue with the 17s? I'm thinking about asking the dealer I'm considering purchasing from to change the settings to 60 psi at all 4 corners before I would take delivery of the truck so it's addressed from the get go.

Just so I'm clear, if i don't want any lights on, should i ask that all 4 corners be set to 60 psi?

I plan on running 70 psi at all 4 corners.

Would that throw any lights if i just left it alone? At factory settings, at what pressures front and rear are warnings triggered?

Thanks,
G

DEALERS cannot change the set points. Light will come on, and stay on anything under 80 psi. You must use a Autel 906 or find someone who has one.

I am located in CT - looking to fix Speedo and TPMS. Did you have any luck with Autel?

Where in Ct I have the AutoEngenuity scanner and enhanced Chrysler package, I know I saw stuff in there about setting tire sizes and TPS.

I also wonder in lieu of changing the pressure threshold if you could just turn off the warning and keep the monitoring like the 3500 trucks.

I was able to do it with the Autel tool. It is a night and day difference in ride quality!! I now have 55 front and 50 rear and no lights!

I am 15 minutes north of New Haven. I would be happy with either fix.

I saw the settings in the AE, but did not mess with them, nor am I any kind of expert. I would be willing to let to try it out and see if you can make the desired changes.

Probably a long shot but if anyone in Washington needs the programming done, I can do it.
