Took a 320 mile round trip road trip today- burned a 1/4 tank on the way there and on the way back-
Never seen my range say over 400 before but it said 500 today- seems like I'm starting to get better fuel mileage - been running 91 lately- The trip I took by no means was a " Flat- interstate run"- set the cruise at 74 when I could- a few towns where I have to slow down to 55-25mph.

This week I got a wild hair and decided to hand calculate mine. Alot of stop and go. Checking on jobs, getting supplies etc. No towing. Showed 13.2 on the evic and hand calculated 11.7. Lol.

I did a 150 mile round trip today. 5 people, but otherwise unloaded. Mixed with hills and some stop and go. Only burned a quarter tank. I was happy with that.

I was cruising down some flat county roads today, doing 53-54, and the EVIC was claiming 23-25 MPG's. I have no clue if that is accurate, but it looks good on the screen. My average is only 14.6 on the tank though (according to the EVIC).

Not to shabby with 96 degrees ambient temps. I get my best mpg's between 60 and 80 degrees.

I've done the same on highway runs between Houston and the Austin/San Antonio area.

Usually shows 14.8-16.2 normal driving on the EVIC, which is 13.6-14.8 hand calculated around town locally. But on long runs the EVIC stays on 18.1-18.2 which is 17.1 hand calculated. I have seen as high as 512 miles on the EVIC before.

Here is one on our last long run, with around 1/8th of a tank burned.

Pct - does that stand for pacific crest trail?? If so you may be familiar with the route I took- Bishop hwy 395 to Carson City Nv-

King size - Ya i get awsome fuel mileage when I'm running around in socal at lower elevations and flatter roads- I think it's great to get this with a truck of this size and weight with a gas motor

I see similar gains when I run 91. Lately my EVIC has been showing 400 miles for a tank. Realistically I'm getting anywhere between 330-350 out of a tank. I'm fine with that. My last truck, '99 1500 with a tired 5.2, was getting right at 300 miles a tank (10-12mpg).

I have 12,500 miles on mine and yesterday I did my 1st type of highway driving.
Jersey flatland, 1 hour each direction, 68 mph steady, filled up before leaving, filled up before coming back, and filled up when back.

Ram 3500 6.4L, 4:10 gears, 5 1/2" lift, and 37" X 12.50 tires.

Going I got a hand calculated 15.9 mpg and coming back I got a hand calculated 16.1 mpg.

Just over 10,000 miles I started to notice a mpg increase per tank and it seems to get a little better and little better with every tank full.

If I could do a long steady highway drive at 50-55 mph, I bet I could be at 18+ mpg.
The fast I run her past 60 mph, she really drinks.
