New recall

Just found a recall notice for 2016-2017, transmission solenoid pack. Going to contact the dealer in the morning about it.

This is for 2016 6.4l with the 66rfe, not sure if it effects others.

It just came out for the transmission solenoid a couple days ago, mine was in the shop with a failed pcv valve that was causing some oil consumption while towing and a once in awhile puff of smoke when cranking. They let me kmow about the trans and that the pcv had a bulletin on it too.

So i went to the dealer today to see about getting it replaced. I was told they would not replace it unless there was a failure. Seems they would want to replace it if they know it is a faulty part.

Quick call to my dealer, checked the VIN, realized they had one set in stock and booked me for Tuesday.

If the site doesn't take you anywhere after you enter the VIN and click submit does that mean there are no recalls?

That's where I bought from, but I've heard their service department isn't that great. I may check with the dealer in Longview about this.

I also get nothing when I check my VIN on the RAM website, I have had some jerky shifts though, along with the occasional smoke on start up that was previously mentioned as a PCV problem.

could just be your not in the window of manufacturer for the potentially faulty parts?

Follow up. Checked on the Ram customer service site and did a Live chat. They acknowledged the replacement of the Solenoid Pack. They scheduled service for next week to have it replaced. Very nice service.

today i received my recall notice in the snail mail.

the ram website also said i need the " t-15 " service
