I put AMP running boards on my 2016 Ram 2500. A guy at work bought a 2017 1500. Will my old OEM running boards fit on his 1500?

I would venture to say yes as long as the cab is the same, ex: crew vs crew.

One sure way to know is to look up a set for both models on a site that sells them, see if it is the same part number for both trucks.

I'm sure someone will chime in soon that will know for certain!

Assuming you have the short bed- If they are the wheel-to-wheel steps, he would have to have the crew cab 6'4" bed configuration. Not common on 1500s.

Also the wheel to wheel steps on the 2500 hang lower (longer brackets) than the wheel to wheel steps for the 1500.

If you have the cab length mopar steps than they should fit no problem if he has a crew cab. He will need to buy the running board hardware kit (nutserts) if he didn't have factory steps.

Thanks Everyone for your responses. I have the wheel to wheel ones. I was looking at his bed yesterday and the spot in front of the rear tires is a lot shorter than mine.

Then I'm guessing he has the Crew Cab with the 5'7" bed. In that case, Your wheel to wheel steps off of your 2500 would not fit.
