Ok is too cold outside, and im bored.

finally been getting some snow, and figured I'd share some info. My plow route is all residentials, and it takes me around 4-5 hrs. Good mix of level, short drives to 500'- 1200' steep, twisty drives. Several parking/turnaround areas and two barns. I plow the long uphill areas in 4L, and the rest in 4H. I have 800lbs of ballast in the bed. All the snow so far has been light and fluffy.
226 miles and 27 gals of gas later I got 8.3mpg's. No my route isnt 225 mi long, lol. But I did plow my route 4 times since Wednesday. Not sure, but does the odometer work when in reverse? If so, I did better than 8.3mpg's.

Oh ya... 2014 3500 CC SRW 6.4 with 3:73's.

Thats why its so low. At least im traveling. If I was just doing a parking lot, I'm sure it would be alot worse.

plowing MPGs

For the 3 tanks when I had my plow on so far, I averaged 11.0. This includes some highway driving to a friend's farm, so it wasn't just plowing but was with the plow on. My truck is a 6.4 regular cab with 3.73s.

With all the snow we've been getting, I've only been using the truck for plowing. Last few tanks have had very little non plowing miles and been a constant 8-9 mpg's
