Stopped by the dealership to check out some 2500s. Got me thinking of possibly trading my 1500 in. The 1500 height just doesn't do it for me, 10" of lift on 37s and it still seems too small for that amount of lift.

Now forgive my ignorance since I've only be dealing with 1500s lately. Whats the max height that a 2500 can be lifted without custom work? 8" suspension and 3" body lift? Would 40's fit?

40s fit with an 8" and proper offset

Why you wanted the 40"? To separate yourself from every other lifted truck? I ask add that's what I did with two trucks and don't get me wrong it was a blast. After driving for a free months though I could say that I now know there is my limit, lifted and then LIFTED. Just a tip to help in thought is look at deeper rims, it makes the truck a lot beefier. Just thought I would put my two cents in

+1 to more offset. I think you should keep your truck, and put some 20x14s or 22x14s on her. Would look a LOT meaner!

Also, your truck is really unique, I don't see many like it.

That f150 is badass bro. Who did the suspension work?

Yea I just need something bigger/taller, not really stand out. The overall feeling of having a taller truck is better, I just feel more comfortable higher.

So my only choice would be a 2500 without custom suspension work. Who knows, I may be comfortable with 38x15.50s with a basic 8" kit.

3rd coast suspension, it's the 16"lift setup. To be honest I had a mind set to do it again to my Ram but been there and while fun, not for me. I think the best fit, for me, is,7" susp/3"bl on 22x12/14 rapped in 37s

Thanks bro. With so many 1500s around I really wanted one but wanted to be different. Thats why I went with a RCSB, have yet to see one lifted in the Atlanta area, and took alot of time/effort in the attention to detail in every modification I made.

I may keep this one and do some custom work, who knows lol I was just throwing out ideas with a 2500

Maybe I'll try a wider wheel/tire combo. I just like the look of these rims and love the longevity of these tires.

You every tried the toyos? Those ars my favorite, I have tried SS M16, Nitto(never get mud grapplers), Cooper, Toyos, BFGood. All have the ups and downs but good wear and road sound was toyo.

Nice. Gotta ask, this crossing your mind due to your truck acting up? My Silverado was the same way. As soon add I put the 40s on, things started rubbing hard and I had to trim and other items, to the point I sold it out of frustration. Bad choice as now I'm back to having to pay for all of it again lol
