Just out of curiosity, what are the differences from a normal 2500 and the power wagon?...

i do know that they are lighter sprung so they have lower payload and GVWR ratings.

So pretty much the rebels big brother. I didn't know if it had different power ratings.

From what I have researched the biggest differences are: winch, locking differentials, elec. disconnecting front sway bar, & shocks. Just about everything else you can get as options on a regular 2500. Oh, & of coarse they have changed the look this year to match the Rebel.
I love the look (then & now) but I couldn't justify the extra cash for things I know I wouldn't use.
I added a few options to an Outdoorsman & got everything I wanted for about $5,000 less than a Powerwagon.
If money ever allows, I want to get a late 50's PW similar to the one pictured next to my name. In fact I would like to have two... one fully restored & one to get down & dirty with!

Are the locking differentials the same thing as 4wd lock?

No. Front and rear diff lock can be engaged as rear only or front and rear. Sway bar disconnects along with custom supension for added articualtion. Has a factory lift, winch, down hill assist.

The down fall is the lockers can only be used in 4low.

The first fourth Gen Power Wagons also came with 4.56 gears. I'm not sure if the newer models are geared that low or not. Other members answered the other differences and of course you obviously can see the 33 inch tires and graphics.
