I spoke with Procharger today about getting a kit for my 14 ram 2500 6.4l hemi. Nothing has been made yet, however there is talk about it. I submitted my info to be the beta test dummy. Has anyone done any power adders like this to their trucks?

Well I haven't seen or heard of anyone coming up with anything. So I went straight through procharger. Little more reputable then some Joe shmo shop.

The accessory drive is basically the same as a 5.7, so fabricating something shouldn't present much of an issue. I'm still waiting (hoping) on the Whipple 6.4 kit to be released soon. Would prefer a positive displacement setup since the Hemi's soft spot is down low IMO.

Is this something Whipple has discussed? That would be right up my alley. :)

IMO, the bigger issue with a Whipple on our 6.4 is the factory EGR. The EGR cooler and most of the related components all need to be relocated, or deleted. For those with the dual alternator option, this runs off a secondary crank pulley so might present an issue as well. I would expect some other necessary changes around the intake, PCV and fueling need to be made on the 6.4. But would assume this is more of a minor effort on their part. The belt/accessory routing appears to be identical with the exception of a power steering pump on the 6.4.

Yea... Ram's EGR system is pathetic. Why they made that system as complicated as they did is beyond me. Would be nice to see them go the way GM did around 03' and get rid of EGR altogether. But, I do get what you are saying. It will complicate things. Would be nice to see one under the hood however.

Lovely, i had no idea the 6.4 had a stupid egr cooler like that. Great, one more thing to worry about corrosion and failing one day (leak).. so dumb.

Thanks for the heads up though, At least now i know

I am curious for those who have the headers... did you have to delete the EGR?

The ARH headers come with provisions for EGR so nothing was deleted.

Diablo still doesn't appear to allow deleting EGR codes through their tool. So if you simply remove the factory setup you'll be stuck with a CEL.

So, after my latest harassment of the Whipple folks on an updated status this was their reply.

Working on the revised manifold/EGR deal now. from what I am told, we are looking at around January sometime.

Considering that EGR is really the only major obstacle IMO vs their 5.7 kit this is a good sign. I wouldn't bet the farm on January but progress is progress!
