I'm obsessed with the AEV bumper. I want to add a winch to my truck and the AEV front bumper would be a great way to do this. I need to sell one of my motorcycle restorations to do this so funds will be available as soon as this happens.

Big question is, would it look not as good on a stock height 2500? I don't plan to lift the truck mainly for practical purposes. that is, it won't fit into my garage and won't fit into my work parking garage if it gets lifted. so any input, would it look out of place on a stock height 2500?

That's a nice bumper. How about if you leveled the truck? The truck should still fit where you need it to and the bumper wouldn't look out of place on a leveled truck, IMHO.

was thinking the same exact thing after I posted. Now I REALLY gotta sell some stuff to add to my truck slush fund. As long as the wife doesn't find out I have disposable cash, I won't be forced to pay bills.

this also begs the question, what leveling kit? a spacer or the bilstein 5100's.

ok, that's one option down then. I guess the set up is different on the Rams vs my tundra. the 5100s allowed for up to 3 inch 'preload' lift in that application.

That must be for a " coil over shock" wich the ram 2500"s do not use, the ram 1500"s do. I know the TOyOTA tundra is their " full size " truck, But it really isn't a full size truck

yup, only looked under my 1500 and did the bilsteins on my tundra. Didn't bother to look under my 2500 before opening my yap. on a side note, the tundra isn't a full sized truck? then just over-sized? :naughty:

did you buy the AEV bumper?

Reek did you end up putting the AEV bumper on your 2500? I too have a 2015 2500 and have been considering putting the AEV bumper on it, and my truck is not lifted. would be interested to know if you are happy with you results if you went through with it, thanks

I really dig the AEV bumper. It has more of a beefy OEM look vs the typical heavy metal, angular, apocalypse vehicle bumpers out there.

I laughed at that...but if it's not a joke, I was really looking forward to seeing that bumper mounted...I'm torn between AEV and ARB myself.

eventually when I catch up with the mustang purchase and daughters first car purchase, I'll be getting the AEV. I'll post pics then. Of course by then, most will be on the 5th gen section of this site...
