I had the Michelin LTX AT2 on my 2011 2500 Cummins. I went up one size to LT285/70R17. I traded the truck after about 16000 miles on those tires. They were pretty quiet, rode and drove great. I used them very little off road but did work well when I did. I missed most of the snow last year but in light snow they were fine, as well as in the rain. I had no complaints about them at all. they showed a little wear after 16000 miles but nothing unusual. I may put a set of them on my 1500 when I need tires.

Old thread, but I'd like to ask a few questions if I may. I have the Tranforce AT's 18" on, and I think they are super quiet on the freeway, and very smooth. I don't understand how some of you are saying they are loud, since I can't hear them, nor feel them on the freeway. Am I missing something?

I'm very pleased with my Terra Grappler g2. Much better ride than the firestones and no noise. They have a nice a/t tread pattern. I trailer around 3k a month, so I will know pretty quick how the milege hold up.....

Ditto on the Nitto. :naughty:

I have no complaints so far on the 285/75/17 G2s

Just a good all-around AT tire with a 50K warranty.

With the Trail Grapplers I have, I'll be lucky to make it to 30K on these.....let alone 50k.

I like the 295/65/20 size, but they are very limited for choices.....thinking I might have to go down to 285 65 20

I miss my Duratracs......

Swapped the stock Firestone's for BFG KO2's, 275/65R20. So far they have been very quiet and balanced well. Can't comment on winter or heavy rain yet. Plus they look more aggressive than about anything else in it's category.

I don't think that will help your selection very much. Tire Rack shows two options in that size.

I know....and even the non-Tire Rack world (they actually don't carry several decent brands) is limited and most in 35" are primarily mud tires and have a 60psi limit which won't work for me.

I might be in the 275 65 20 world......KO2 is a nice option, I'll have to check if my beloved Duratracs are in that size.

Yep I believe they make Duratracs in that size. They also make them in a 285/60

The KO2's are one of the few brands available in a 285/65R20 but they are 5 lbs heavier and $50 more than the 275's, plus 1/2" taller.
