Smell and noises

When I first start the truck I can smell a faint coolant smell from the passenger side, but no leak. Has anyone had the same problem?

Also, I have a rattle in the rearend that I can't find. Anyone have similar?

I'm a mechanic and I can't find the damn rattle. It's driving me crazy when i have the windows open.

There was an issue with what the coolant hoses were made of causing an antifreeze smell. I think some got new hoses installed. I thought that issue was resolved with the newer trucks though, maybe not. I never did anything about mine. Do you have a hitch in the receiver while using the spacer? They rattle going over bumps.

My 2015 had that smell and had no leak anywhere. I haven't noticed any coolant smell on my 2017.
I had a metallic rattle over bumps on my last truck and it ended up being the bracket that hold the brake lines over the rear end.

I'll have to look again when i get a chance. That is what it sounds like, more of a metalic kind of noise. Other than that the truck has been perfect for the 5k I put on it.
