Came on Monday this week. The condition was very unacceptable. driver dropped it and by the time the manager turned around the truck was gone and there was the bumper sitting there in this condition. Now Bumper superstore has file a claim with the shipping company who claims it was not damaged because the paperwork says it was not. On Friday I finally got some feedback and now have to wait 30-60 days to find out if I will be getting a new bumper or if they will discount it as a damaged item. Not very happy with any of this situation.

more pictures. being it has not been opened yet it scares me to have it opened because once we open it it is now mine in my eyes. If I keep it unopened there may be slim hopes of getting a replacement.

Man I wouldn't lose any sleep over those little scuffs. It would have already been mounted on my truck. If it was bent or had major damage I could see raising an issue. Dab some black paint or hit it with a rattle can where you can see metal and roll on. I know they cost a lot and you expect to get it in good shape, I totally understand that. But for what I use my bumpers for, i would have never batted an eye at that. Just my .02

I'd push to get a discount back & touch it up. Call it day so you don't have to potentially deal with another hassle later on.

As of right now they only want the discount as a last resort. They mentioned it but does not seem like that is what they want to do. We are thinking about just telling them just discount it as way the customer service has been so far they are going to get less than a star. no reason I should get told they will call me right back and have to wait a day or two to get a reply. I will not do business with them again or any of my friends that are bumper shopping either. Plus I asked what would happen if we open it and there is more severe damage. The subject got changed to we will have to wait to see what the shipping company says.

I'm not sure it's solely the fault of the shipping company. The bumper is poorly crated, too. I think it's unreasonable to expect it to be undamaged in shipping when it is packaged like that.

I'm the opposite of earlier post. I would probably scratch it to hell and back on my truck too but damn I better be the one to do it. Id send it back.

I'd go after the shipper and the mfgr on this one simultaneously, with emphasis on the shipper.

Not excusing shipping damage but that could have been better packed/wrapped to mitigate it

If the shipping company didn't get a signature at the time of the delivery then they are responsible.... I deal with this all the time and we don't sign anything until the delivery has been inspected.

I am a purchasing manager with where i work. I handle most of my company's shipping and receiving as well. I too have had many claims where it was obvious the trucking company had damaged the item. I have won exactly 0 dollars back in many different claims.

It becomes a packaging issue. You cant really blame the manufacture as they did a good job, but not a sufficient job. All they can really do is try to improve moving forward.

What has worked for me in the past is too see if the would work up some sort of a deal of a different accessories of theirs. IE i bought some running boards from an online company. It took FOREVER to get them as they lost the initial order, then powder coat messed up the first coat, then the trucking company lost my package (12' long running boards.... how the hell do you lose them?). I ended up agreeing to buy a bed cover at their cost to satisfy the deal...
