Good news: I just got a confirmation email from Thuren saying my order has been shipped! 24 hr turn time makes me a very happy customer. Plus my rear shocks from autoanything are due to arrive today as well. At this rate I might be able to install this stuff next weekend!

I just got home and we had the friggin storm of the century here in Pittsburgh. I spent the last 3 hours on the wet vac sucking water out of the basement. All is good now. What a freak storm that was. Ok rant over.

Good news is my parts were under the front porch roof nice and dry. I will do the install this Saturday. I called my local tire shop and put the order in for a set of 295/65R20 Toyo Open Country AT II and they will be ready to install after I get the lift on. Things are looking good!

Just got done installing the springs, shocks and track bar. All went well without any real issue. I had trouble getting the rear shocks off. Ended up cutting them out. Other than that the front end work is a piece of cake. Didn't have enough time to get the tires installed today. I'll get them on this coming week.

After finishing up, on the test drive the steering wheel is way out. Like 40 degrees out. See the pic below. Is that expected after doing the springs and track bar? I'll be getting it aligned tomorrow. It drives perfectly straight without any issues other than the steering wheel is way out.

First impressions is it drives a lot smoother. Soaks up bumps better. Not jarring like before. Doesn't hop and skip anymore either. I'm liking it so far. Gotta get some more time in the seat to really know more. Looking forward to straightening out my steering wheel and getting the new tires on.

Here are some pics. Before and after shots etc. I didn't take any pics of the rear shocks but they look identical to the fronts. 793992295acb3d57edbf2bde6dc94fcd.jpg3dcbce44500200b58e6de14690f57ee7.jpg222ac45240efa2b2846fcbfb0c0593e7.jpgaffdab2eee66a47c35aabc7729ff0660.jpgc771a1f3a31c816bd432324e9c0e4d27.jpgd2d03074736b602b0c4f66fb14ff0082.jpg2194071f3aafd864c7a4a4008bdc781a.jpg83a09dc0db86e9cb1e0f2b401494e15f.jpg6a408b56e8cf58fb18598e25bed2de23.jpg

Ok..

Here is the draglink adjustment. What you'll want to do:

Back the truck up a bit and pull it forward without toughing the steering wheel. Stop at the place you're going to do that adjustment. You'll want to drive at least 10 feet if possible as this will straighten the wheel true.

Get a friend/wife/girlfriend to sit in the truck and tell them to tell you when the steering wheel moves and when it's PERFECT.

Go under the truck and loosen the two jam nuts on the link. Once they are loose you can crank the big heck nut in the middle (black part) by hand.

Move it up or down depending on which way the steering wheel needs to be adjusted.

Once it is in place. Tighten the jam nuts by hand and then hold the heck nut with a wrench and you tighten each jam nut. Verify the steering wheel is straight.

Awesome thanks for the instructions! I have a family event to attend this evening but will do the adjustment tomorrow. I'll probably wait until Monday to get it aligned and then tires on Tuesday.

Looking good, my wheel was straight after I did the lift. I waited to do the track bar until the day before my alignment and when I did, my wheel was exactly where you're wheel is. Get some pics for us when the tires are on.

I did the 2" Thuren coils. Didn't measure before/after so I can't say how much lift I exactly got. It really does make a big difference in person though.
