I am running Bilstein shocks with 2" springs in front and 1" springs in back. Ride is very nice.

Thanks guys. I already have a level on mine but it rides rough still. I'm just curious if its a big enough difference to upgrade to a thuren kit with bilsteins or fox shocks. I gotta make sure it'll be worth it or else my wife will not be happy with spending the extra $$

Did you have to use a spring compressor to get them in? Any other specialty tools needed?
Thanks, Duke

No spring compressor needed. If your going to install a new Track Bar you will need a Torque wrench. Jack stands and a good floor jack. Or two if you can. Makes it easier to lower side to side.

I just ordered the 1" rear springs for my truck today, I was wondering if you still have the part number for the rear Bilstien's that Don recommends?

Bilstein 24-066464. Not sure what you have now for rear shocks but the rubber bushings are different for these shocks. You will need the bushings for the Bilstein shocks 5100 for the 2016 Ram 2500. This is the rear shock 5100 part number. Bilstein #24-239455. I called Bilstein direct in Cal. and they sent me the new Packages for the shock hardware. Nut, rubber bushings and Caps. 858 386 5900

Thanks G. Mcpherson, and I'm currently running the factory rear shocks, so I'll need the bushings too.

Phil21502, I'll make sure I get some pic's and measurements up as soon as I get the springs installed.

The shocks are supposed to show up Friday, I could possibly meet up with you Saturday, that way I'll know for sure if I need to also order the right bushings.

My son has a soccer game at Chief Umtuck School at 930. We could meet up there before, around 9, or after, around 1030.

I'm on my way now to pick up my truck from getting rustproofing and ceramic coating. I'll take some measurements when I get home and report back.

I got a surprise tonight when I got home, not only where my new rear shocks waiting for me, so where the new rear springs.
I went ahead and pulled one of the rear shocks and compared the upper bushings on it with the ones that came with the Bilstiens. After looking at them I saw what G.Mcpherson was saying about the bushings that come with the shock being different. I also figured out that I could use the new lower half of the upper bushing with the old upper half of the upper bushing and everything would work like it was supposed to. I took a couple pictures of the shock bushing for comparison in case anyone runs into this issue later.

In the first picture the bushings circled in blue are the old bushings. The bushings circled in red are the new bushings.

In the second picture the old and new bushings are still marked with the same colors, and I circled the bushings as they need to be installed in orange.

I'll get some ride height shots and measurements tomorrow after I put some miles on the suspension to settle it.
