Icon Suspension - Icon Suspension 2.5 Inch Lift Coil Springs, Front, Stock - 2.5 Inch Lift Range, Black, Pair of 2 - 214200 | 4WheelParts.com

2017 Ram Mega Cab 6.4. I want to go with a spring leveling kit this time vs. the block. I know carli and thuren are excellent but they only have 2inch or 3inch. For some reason, I feel the 2inch is not enough and the 3 is going to be a tad much. I know, .5inch isn't much but that's when my pickyness comes into play. My 2015 Ram had a 2.5 block and I absolutely loved the way it sat.

4Wheelparts tells me this^^^^this Icon 2.5 inch won't fit on my 2017 Ram. I call ********. isn't the same? Why wouldn't it fit. If for some reason, it doesn't would the carli or thuren 2inch spring for the diesel sit alittle higher? I know the the springs for the diesel is a little different because of the weight of the truck.

thanks in advance.

it's either 2 or 3 for the gas 2500. they have 2.5 for the gas 3500. Don't know if there is a difference in the front end on the 3500.

The 3500's sit about half an inch taller in the front than the 2500's so a 2.5" Thuren coil on a 3500 brings the truck up to the same height that a 3" would on a 2500.

Anyone know if the Carli or thuren 3inch will settle down or stay at 3inchs?

I have a 2014 2500 Mega 6.4
I will be going with Thuren 3 inch with a 1 inch spacer in the back.
If it squats I will add air bags.
I might add the Thuren rear springs on top of the 1 inch spacer later down the road.
We shall see.

But to answer your question, I would say No. I bet they will stay 3 inch. Thuren is high quality stuff. I believe I read on their website something addressing the fact of why they would not settle.

Looks like I should just pull the trigger with the icon 2.5 spring. I think icon and bilsteins should do the trick. I've read good things about icon too, seems like quality stuff too, so the 2.5 should stay 2.5.

It looks like the thuren is less than the icon and you get a track bar- Just something to think about.

The Thuren 3" coil sits more like 3.5". If you add the 3" coil to your stock truck it will be nose high, not level.

I was talking about the lvl kit- not the 3" front and 1" rear

That'll be too high for me. Im just going to do the icon. I already have the Carli adjustsble track bar. Took it off of my 15'. All I need is the spring and shocks. I'm just waiting for icon to get back to see if the 2.5 spring settles down.

Icon got back to me and said, their springs only apply to the diesel. Besides the diesel springs being .5inch taller, what else is different?

That's good reading thank you.

My finally question. Can I put a 2inch spring for a diesel? Aren't they the same suspension? I was about to pull the trigger on the 3inch but read that 3 inch is border line changing radius arms, adding and changing more components. And the 2inch, my buddy who parks next to me at work has a 16' powerwagon. My last truck with the 2.5 inch spacer sat little taller than his. I want it a tad higher than a powerwagon. personally, i don't think I'll be happy with a 2inch spring for the hemi.

Now, Will the 2inch for the diesel sit higher on my hemi or Will it not fit.

Thanks in advance.

Do not run the diesel spring on the gas truck.
Thuren has a spring that will give u that nose high look. If u want it lvl then go with thier 3" kit- or if u want it higher than ur bodies truck then run the lvl and run 37"s.
The diesel spring will fit but the ride will be harsh and very rough that's why there is a diesel spring and a gas spring.
Cjc offroad has put diesel Springs on power wagons before hemi aftermarket springs where made and from what I gather customers didn't really like it due to the ride quality.. but it's your truck. Carli and thuren in my mind are the best bang for the buck for a HD truck giving u the best ride while maintaining some stiffness to still tow- in not bashing icon- but I don't know why their kit cost more and it doesn't come with a track bar. Just my 2 cents.

Look at the blog on cjc off road- Tons of Carli/thuren lifted/lvled 4th gens-
