So I was looking at a 1960 F250 quad cab on a 1990 diesel chassis... I got out bid and decided I had my limits, but this was the next one in my line up.

It's bone stock. Bench seats and crank windows. I'm thinking I'm gonna put some 255-85-16s on it on a set of steelies. I got the steel wheels with it. Not a spec of rust on it. Thinking of leaving the paint as is! It has fresh 360. So. Eventually cummins. But yeah. Just sweet the way it is. Wheels will be gray steels and some 33" or 35" mud terrain

As for needs, I think first I am going to get a tail gate, bed rug or mat, and tonneau. I'm gonna keep the 5th wheel tailgate cause I might buy a fifth wheel camper at some point (trying to sell my motorhome right now).

Possible future adds:
Tailgate
Bedrug or bed mat
tonneau
Hella back up bumper light w/ rocker switch for trailer hookup on
HID driving off road lights on my kickass brush guard (I might have those locked up)
255-85-16 MUD Terrain tires
Tunes upgrade, I think it still has the 8-track LOL
Paint my steel wheels and add some chrome center caps (need caps)
8 ball shifter knob (Why? I say WHY NOT!)
Undercoating...MI winters suck and I live on a dirt road! YIKES!

What did I miss... No fuzzy dice comments please

yes, long shot, but IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING ON MY LIST OR PARTS FOR 1970s-1993 DODGE Heavy Duty D250-D350, shoot me a note

Fun driving it. Has manual AC which reduces one more thing breaking.

This weekend I am gonna dive in: lube oil and filter, very detailed cleaning, new serpentine belt, replace hoses and coolant, rear diff fluid and clean and bed liner the surface spots in bed.

Remove all camo tape.

Also, I have a Dodge SB tonneau. I am gonna see if it will fit.

Next, replace the blown center 6x9 in the dash...lmao yep it has 1 speaker!

Next weekend adds: window tint, upgrade radio with line-in input, power inverter, extra 3 bank of 12v power outlets.

Shibby that's not working right:
So I gotta bad squeal when I turn the steering wheel.
Also, 4x4 dash light comes on when I start the truck (so I know it's not the bulb) but doesn't come on when shifted into 4wd.

Thoughts?

The use: tow my snowmobile trailer and 30' camper... Have yet to acquire the camper, selling the Motorhome right now!

shouldn't need to put your ID and Date on this photo.

looks like a pretty nice rig.

that squeal when you turn the steering wheel is most likely just a loose power steering belt.

the 4x4 light might not be coming on because of a broken vacuum line to the switch or possibly a stuck vacuum actuator on the front axle. most likely just a broken vacuum line tho.

the truck should also have v belts not serpentine belts unless someone changed that. replacing the belts is a fairly good idea but keep the old ones as a spare. v belts rarely fail but if they do you want a spare.

most people usually install speakers in the door.

something you may want to look at cleaning good is the heater box especially with winter coming up. you open that door on the heater box and just suck all the garbage out.

also since you plan on driving it this winter you should put the headlights on relays. make a huge difference especially since most people complain about their headlights dimming in winter time.

also since your truck is a 4x4 it is would be considered a W350. W stands for 4x4 and D stands for 2wd

your welcome i am full of useless first gen info. lol. if your good with electrical and wiring there is lots of idea's i could give you. one of my favorite upgrades was installing a power distribution center. it can create a electrical mess if done wrong but it can allow you to clean up under the hood if done right. it also can allow you to hide some of the electrical upgrades like the headlight relay upgrade.

power distribution center or commonly referred to as the fuse panel under the hood. pretty much all newer vehicles have a power distribution center under the hood that hold all the fuses and relays. all the power for pretty much everything usually comes from it. most new vehicles have at least a dozen or so relays to power everything. install one in a older vehicle allows you to kind of do the same thing. power your lights and stuff using relays but still kind of keep under the hood looking somewhat clean. i got both my headlights and backup lights on relays which makes a huge difference. the only major setback of trying to install a power distribution center is figuring out what wires do what. i ended up blowing up half the first power distribution center that i got when i mixed up a few wires.
you can see mine in this pic. its out of a caravan.

also another idea might be an overhead console out of a older jeep or possible a caravan. i installed one in my ramcharger and it is great for a lot better overhead light. as i bet you've noticed the lights in these trucks sucks and in a crew cab it would suck even more.

that is why i suggested an overhead console. the light they put out is fairly bright and a lot more useful than the stock cab like here is the one on got in my 81

Thanks. I will put the 7" hid on the grill tonight and need to yank my vinyl floor today too. Not doing too much to it this winter. Tires in the next week 34" x 9" BFG mud terrain. Just trying to decide if I want to put these 17" wheels or my steel 16"ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410884057.293848.jpg

you may want to price out tires for both size rims. if your looking for cheaper tires you might want to stick with the 16's
