I'd agree with you on the bags looks like you've got like an inch of clearance in that pic

Real subtle mod but I added rain guards a couple of days ago above the windows. Should've done it a long time ago. Found a brand new set for $25 free shipping on ebay, figured why not. Lol

My ride for the day and the view of my truck from it.

So my truck has been running like dog doo doo the last week or so, missing and stuff. It was acting like it was suffocating once it got hot, idling rough and what not. I finally hooked up the scanner to it today to reveal my emissions is horrible and I have nothing but 02 sensor codes pooping up. Come to find out my cats were clogged and causing an exhaust backup. So, to prevent damage to my engine I hollowed out the cats for now until I can buy new ones or get 02 simulators. Luckily I live in a non emission county so I don't have to worry about that. Truck is tremendously louder now though. Maybe I can get a little gas money out of the catylyst metals. Lol

I also put new spark plugs in it today. Bout time for em.

Need to redo my exhaust, noticed a lot of holes and it's just getting worse...spark plugs, how did that go? You go with the stock plugs? This is something I HAVE to do this summer.

The spark plugs are easy, not like a hemi. Just make sure they are all gapped at. 040 and it'll take all of 15 min or so. I went with OE champion plugs, which are the stock ones. Cost like $17 for all 8. Easy maintenance thing to do.

Agree with ^^^, Champion Copper's are the best for your $ and I think that all the others are just gimmicks. I would also suggest that you get some "quality" anti-seize and put some on the threads before reinstalling, you don't wanna be one of these horror stories of a plug breaking off in the motor.

Hey Derek, what size are your wheels? I've got 18's now, but when these tires are up I think I'm gonna switch wheels and go down further to a 17" with some Duratracs. I know that 17"s are the smallest we can go for the brakes, but I just don't want the wheel and tire combo to look like a donut set-up like you see running around 40" boggers on a 16" wheel.

Eh, I'm not too worried about it. I just need to keep this motor running long enough for me to gather all the parts for the cummins swap. :naughty:

I'm running 17x10 wheels on 35x12.50 tires. I actually like it alot but I wish I had 12" wide wheels. They don't really make 17x12 wheels though so I'm probably going to get some 2" spacers. I'm going to upgrade to 37s once these tires wear out and the cummins is in.

If you get 12" you better run a 14" tire so you don't roll a bead.

Maybe I'll go for 20x12 in the future with 37x14.50. Time and money will tell. Lol
I would also look at how much the MaxTrac spindles allow cause a big offset might be required. Me personally, I couldn't get rid of the OEM 20's fast enough, now I wanna go smaller. It's weird how you can change the wheel size by 1" and get a more exact tire size.

Oh if I got the 20x12s I'd get the -44 offset. I want them wide and out. Lol
