I subbed your thread. I have a lot of chrome as well I'm wanting to get rid of.

Can't wait to see your thread on your black out. Good Luck!

Thanks man. I got my cluster, temp control, and overhead display LEDs from superbrightleds.com

I used rosculex gel #72 to change the odometer, radio, and overhead display screens. You can find that on eBay, usually used for theater related stuff.

The cup holder LEDs and cubby hole LEDs I got off eBay in a pack of 20. They are the individual 5mm bulbs with resistors already attached and a black and red wire. I just drilled holes and superglued them in.

The floorboard lights are just blue weatherstrip LEDs also off eBay.

Its pretty easy to do it all. Wayyy better than the ugly green these trucks came with in my opinion.

Found a nice field and took a couple cliche texas bluebonnet pictures. I didn't want to kill any since they are getting scarce now here so I parked on the edge of the field. Lol

I'm going to try something new. I'm tired of cops pulling me over for the winch covering my license plate (even though its totally legal being on the hitch). I'm going to try and create a mount for under the bed behind the plate for it. I've been researching it and it has been done. They make a hinge the flips the plate up revealing the winch rollers. I would also need to find an extension or make one to be extended to a plug in on the back of the bumper for the controller to plug in. I would lose my spare wheel and tire but i have new tires on the truck as well as AAA and USAA roadside assistance so Im not too worried. Stay tuned for that installation. Lots to do. Lol

So its raining here but I tried to get pics as best as I could. I bought the kit on amazon that came with the night vision camera, the Bluetooth sender and receiver, and the 7" video screen.

I drilled the camera into the upper plastic piece on the tailgate. I then fed the wires through the tailgate to under the bed of the truck. I grounded the negative to the truck and took the left tail light out to tap the positive into the reverse lights.

The video screen was much larger than I anticipated and I really had no idea where to put it. It came with a mount and screws and everything but I decided just to slide it into the cubby hole for now. The monitor and Bluetooth receiver are hooked together and tapped into the DC plug that comes on when the truck Is on. Ideally I want to buy an aftermarket nav radio with a screen and use that but the monitor will work for now. I have the harness and all the wires hiding behind the bezel.

I can only see about 8 feet behind me due to how I mounted it but that is all in really need to see to park and hook up a trailer.

Still need to readjust the camera to square it up.

So I finally got one of these. I can't believe it took dodge that long to put these in trucks. I'm going to cut it into behind the cup holder under my floorboard light switch. It only has a positive and negative pin so its super easy to put in. Only costs $20 for the plug at the dealership. This one is off a 2010 but it's new.

Ordered the plasti dip, as well as a stubby antenna. About to invest in a maxtrac 4.5" spindle lift for the truck as well. I think that will get me just as high as I want to be. Maxtrac has some great prices.

Got the stubby antenna in and mounted. Plasti dip will probably be here monday. I also picked up a barely used Kenwood DDX 470. Got it from a good buddy of mine. He has a rhino lined bed that needs repairing so I offered to trade him the repair work for the unit. This thing is badass. I just need to order the wiring harness, antenna adapter, and plastic mount brackets from crutchfield. Probably $75 for everything, I got out pretty cheap. lol I can also get rid of the giant reverse camera screen and hook it up to the unit. Waiting for the next paycheck. :naughty:

I'm digging that stubby and the tow mirrors. I really need a set of tow mirrors since I tow.

Heck of an idea you had with the inverter. I'll be picking one of those up next week. I drive by a big Dodge dealership every day.

And... everyday I feel like Johnny Cash wanting one that is Long & Black, but, a RAM, when I look at em.

Check out ebay for a good deal on them. I paid $75 shipped for mine. I bought the manual non heated ones though. I figured it doesn't really get cold enough here and I'm the only one that drives the truck. lol The only mirror I wish I had power in is my passenger side. People walk into them all the time in parking lots and I have to readjust them. Pita to have to get out and walk over every time. lol

Yeah I like to install little things like that from other trucks when I see something I like. There's always a way, just need time to figure out how to do it. lol

I figured they'd cost a lot more than $75.

I was happy I had heated mirrors this past winter lol. But, there are work arounds for that. I'm sure I'd get a lot more use when towing vs' PITA in inclement weather.

I'll check ebay. Don't recall exactly who you got them from do ya?
I've never ordered anything off ebay. Always afraid I'm gonna get stiffed.
However, being as you have ordered from them I'd be more inclined to do so also.
