Hey guys, wanted to make an all inclusive thread for the build on my 2014 RAM 1500 5.7L CC Sport 8spd.

This is my second 4th gen. My last one was a 2009 1500 SLT 4x4 5.7L with a 8" lift and 35" tires. I didn't like how the truck drove after or the gas mileage so I ended up selling it shortly after.

With this build I have two objectives, make it faster and more efficient. I am also going to do this while being budget conscious and installing the best "bang for buck" mods.

I'll be documenting, creating DIYs, and making YouTube videos for everything. I already have several videos of the work done so far and will continue to update here :naughty:

Here is the truck when I picked it up and my review on it.

I ended up picking up a K&N short ram intake for free but it was for a 2009-2012 5.7L. On the 2013+ trucks they relocated an AC line that interferes with the heatshield on the box.

There is also some IAT sensor differences between both year ranges so you need the proper wire extension harness to go with your sensor.

In this video I show how you can easily modify a 09-12 intake to fit onto a 2013+ and also the differences in the two sensors on our trucks :)

Thanks! Seems to be working great so far! Would be nice to integrate some 2-speed functionality later instead of just full on/off. I think this would have to be done with an aftermarket fan controller though. Too hard to do through the factory wiring/computer.
