First off this is going to be a really slow build since I am a 16 year old kid without a job ATM, that is just getting help from his dad with the build.
This is my first truck that I got back at the end of September. I was going to buy a '72 c10 for $800 until the seller backed out after agreeing to the deal. We ended up finding this truck at a gas station down the street from my house. It was pretty rusty when we first got it. the rear bumper and hitch were completely destroyed from rust. We decided my dad and I were going to build a rear bumper for it since this truck will see a lot of time offroad. Before we built the bumper though my dad decided he would put some chrome duct tape over the rust holes for now. I then decided to plasti dip the emblems on the door and touch up everything else. Once everything was all touched up I wanted to get a few picture of it near the water.

Welcome to RF. It doesn't look that bad for what it is. Paint looks good in the pics.

I didn't do much to the truck for a few months besides messing around with it. the only thing added to it from October to November was the sticker to the back window my mom got me for the truck.
Two weeks ago my dad found a bed for it with no rust for $250. We bought it since mine was full of rust and changed it that weekend. The truck will one day be back to all red, since I want to try and paint it myself but not until the spring/ summer.
This weekend my dad and I went and got steel to make the bumper and built the whole thing in the drive way. It is just flat bar from the frame and out the back of the bumper to the shackle mounts so I am pulling the frame and just not the bumper. To make it a little different we used the stock licenses plate mount and recessed it into the bumper. This way we could use the stock lights and so we could make it a little different. The bumper is made of 1/4inch thick steel and is 8 inches tall, so it protects all of the body. The angles in it are just so it doesn't just look like a big piece of steel mounted to the back. I can make a build thread of the bumper if anyone want to make their own.
My parents are getting me a 5 inch rough country lift for Christmas. So that will be added next time my dad has time. then I am looking to get 17 inch KMC Rockstar XDs and a set of 35 inch Nittos or BFG all terrains. Other than that I may just do exhaust and some other little add ons, but like most projects, more money than I think will probably be added to it.

Thanks. You can't see a lot of the rust like the doors or the drivers side fender, and cab corners, but we are going to get patch panels for most.
