^^^. There is nothing wrong with having “ issues “ as long as it’s keeping you smiling. :)

Upgrade the speakers. Makes a huge difference. I put kicker 6×9's in rear doors and kicker 6.5 components in front doors and mounted tweeters where the dash speakers were

Mine is a 1500 and they had 6×9s in front doors. Not all aftermarket ones will fit tho due to depth so I just used 6.5 plus wanted component speakers

I put the rear speakers in and they sounded better, louder, more bass. When I did the fronts I installed a 5 channel amp for all 6 speakers and my sub

Here is difference between stock and kicker ks speakers, stock speakers are basically cardboard lol20180314_165753.jpg 20180314_165847.jpg

That’s what great about technology now as opposed to when I was a little sprite lol. We always did trial and error for installs. Now you have a website that will walk you through exactly how to take it apart and put it back the same way. :)

Super easy on these trucks. Way better than my 2nd gen lol. Good thing is if your on a budget is just replace the speakers first and see how you like it before buying an amp. Could even buy the speakers one set at a time and slowly upgrade the system. If you order from crutchfield it comes with install directions that is step by step how to take our doors off

Very nice!! They were on sale when I bought mine so went with the higher end ks series speakers. I just went with the 2way 6x9 for rear and for the front I did 6.5 components so didn't need a speaker for the dash. I installed the tweeters in the dash and they are powered by their own crossover. That route does require you running a wire from the door to the dash but was pretty simple to do. No bass blocker needed since it's powered by crossover

Ok. Thanks. No crossover here. So maybe I should look into a bass blocker. Crutch didn’t suggest any though. Which makes me question if i need them
