Sweet truck! I really like your girlfriends truck! I may upgrade to a Cummins one day. I really want a early 3rd gen. I loved my patriot blue 2005 1500.

Everything looks good, but I don't like the idea of halo's at all.

In for the build.

Looking good so far. I'd love to have me a cummins. But I just can't justify the extra fuel and up keep costs.

Me either actually, I bought them before I even had the truck
I thought I'd do black rockers and flares like I did with her truck at first but I like the chrome on this truck

Truck does pretty well fuel wise, I think it hurt my wallet more to drive my dad's '11 Ram Hemi for a week then my own

Getting aligned tomorrow
My brother got me an EZ down for my tailgate and I think I'm going to get 1" lift shackles for the rear now

It's looking awesome man! What's next?

I keep saying I'm done for now and then keep buying **** haha
Right now the only things on my "to buy" list are lift shackle and a rear view camera to hook up to the CTS (I convinced myself it was a good investment because 1. I'd really like to have a reverse camera 2. Corrected speed for the change in tire size 3. I turned 24 last week)

Waiting to see what happens with my job situation in the next month or so too

Those are both on the "I should buy these but dont really want to spend the money right now" list actually
Probably going to go with a hell bent steel steering box brace, I just replaced the gearbox 2 weeks ago and rather not have to do it again soon.

Gonna have to start following this one now.. Congrats man, looks good!

Thanks!
I put the DeeZee tailgate assist on before I got it aligned last night and am haveing some problems with it
I've put three on now and this is the first one I've had trouble with
When I put my tailgate up it pushes the cable out from between the tailgate and taillight
If I line up the cable as I shut it the tailgate binds up and is tough to open

Gear box brace will be coming soon. The itch to go higher is getting worse and worse for me. I want to be prepared for larger tires.

My buddy was kickin around the idea of putting the same tires on his leveled '13
He helped me do my springs and we both agreed they'd still look to small on a 4th gen, they even look small on mine

I guess I should add, I got my tailgate assist put on this past Thursday
The washer DeeZee includes was to thick and made the strut hit the tailgate and would bind up so I replaced it and everything works as it should
My girlfriend got me really nice seat covers for my birthday too
I kinda half ass put them on Thursday evening

I installed my reverse camera tonight
This is the camera I got:
Amazon.com : [180° Viewing Angle] Esky EC180-18 100% Waterproof High-definition CCD Vehicle Car Rear View Backup Camera / Aluminum Zinc Alloy Rearview Camera : Car Electronics
Kind of let down about it all

I picked that camera cause it had a lot of good reviews
Got it today and the camera was upside down. ,out would just flip it over but that would leave the wire in plain sight. I took it apart, flipped the camera over and drilled a new hole so the wire would be out of the way.

Once I got all the wires run cleanly I tried it out only to be let down again cause I had a manual transmission. It seems that the CTS doesn't recognize when the trucks in reverse like it would with an automatic transmission so the camera doesn't come up automatically. The camera is definitely working though as you can go into he menu and view it that way. It'll certainly be a pain to do every time I want to use the camera.

In other news
I have lift shackles on the way, will probably be a project for next week. They are adjustable for 1" or 2" of lift. (front sits .5" higher then the rear)

Hoping to get my flares on this week too
