So a few months back I had to take my boss home. Heavy set guy with diabetes decided to eat something he shouldn't. He used my grab handle to get in and what do you know it pulled right out of the truck.
I have been preoccupied so never got around to fixing it and earlier today I decided that I would put her in a show. However don't know how it would look without a pillar.
2ff49865658e7342c455adcfe9c08d74.jpg This is what it looks like currently. Took 2 brass hose barbs and cut off the hose end and screwed it into the slot f253e9cdd132223f7e6923d499051be3.jpg799b462144d87197440d008e9d12c5a3.jpg I have gorilla glued them in but while I'm out tomorrow I'm going to grab a couple hose clamps that fit over the bracket.

So I didn't update this page after the pillar I put the pillar in and the fix didn't work. So I'm gonna have to buy a new one altogether.

I was surprised how easy the seats came out when I replaced my carpet. I contemplated keeping the middle seat out, but it gets used all too often.

Yeah but I would keep it if I had kids but it's just me and the fiancée so no reason for it plus I am a music guy and played bass for yrs so I like my music so the center console is perfect for a sub

I have the new grill installed
Old

The new factory style black one 46823513478ff23d88443acca200b666.jpg it'll require some cleaning and maybe some touch up but it does fit the truck a bit better than the other one did. I believe I may look into some new inserts for that one however something to make it pop a lil more ec26e54bf03011438e114b843542fffc.jpg
The tribal inserts like this have caught my eye so I might be getting them sometime soon.

Personally I prefer the mesh grilles, just look a whole lot cleaner (and I tell myself they improve airflow) maybe check them out? Just a thought

So I recently found out a group of Mopar enthusiasts in my area and they do shows around here. There is a major Mopar show in September I'm planning to attend to start my show career. In preparation I started removing things and getting things in the works to get the truck pristine for it. I started with getting a new a-pillar thanks to another member here. Removing the factory pinstripe that came on my truck 37a7226f49f183557ca678ee36efca2c.jpg now o have only been able to remove half of it so far. Everything behind the doors is removed 1eddf18f3417f1ab14b9acd8b224e8cb.jpg however it had a ram emblem between the door and the bed and the badge is still noticeable after wet sanding a aggressive color restorer and waxing. So I will be working on getting that completely gone after the rest of he stripe is gone.
I will be ordering paint for the passenger side sometime in the next couple weeks. Some dents from a while back are still haunting me and need to be dealt with.
The driver side is gonna need some as well so it may be ordered them too as my budget is tight.
The dash board will be getting pulled out next week I'm hoping so it can be fixed.

Rock lights are ordered and will be getting them installed when they come in

I have gotten in the rock lights the wiring and rocker switch will be here Tuesday but I gave her a bath and waxed her up. The grille and bumper were bed lined for extra protection. The exhaust I hope to order in the next couple of weeks I'm going to go with flow master super 10 or 44 I believe but not sure on diameter yet. I'll start on the painting and cleaning up my dents after the storm were suppose to get passes through. fae58aa76fdca49d611ea4a9cde92e0a.jpg25c5f64049a64517a4ed65a6c1aca938.jpg I am however having an issue with fixing my grab handle pillar the drivers side popped out and the bolts just spin so I need someone's advice that might have had this issue before

Picked up a wax bar last night that I intend to use to clean up my blemishes in the paint this week I hope. I will be going with an SRT front end that I'll use the slot for light bars except the hoods I'm going to get the 4th gen Varam I take and make it fit the motor.
I will be getting a rack to go on my hard shell tonneau cover and mount a high lift jack to it. Thinking about a 71x40 rack just to keep it slightly smaller and move it closer to the tailgate so that it won't cause problems with my lifting.
I have not been able to start on the paint due to storms and my septic lines at the house are causing troubles so wasn't able to get to my rock lights. But the wires have been started on I've spliced in and sauntered some wires together. a7a35e81a6c08bca8867e0e589df04e9.jpgthis is what the truck will look like lifted with the SRT stuff on it.
I have decided that I will be making my own exhaust using a Borla muffler with 2.5in pipe all the way back exiting at the corners of the truck with a black slashed tip. I hope to be able to start ordering the prices shortly.

So I did my wax bar, polished and sealed my front passenger side and it didn't do anything so my paint is to far gone to save.
I have ordered most of my exhaust I have MBRP 3in/2.5in dual out muffler 2.5in piping coming. I need to get the mandrel bent piping for the axle and corners. My tips are gonna be a Remington 2.5in/4in gloss black.
Gonna be putting the Jason cover back on the truck so I can decide which basket I'm gonna put on the truck and maybe wire up those lights finally I've removed a job from my list and freed some time up finally to do stuff

what did you use to polish, you may be using the wrong polish or technique, I have my own detailing business I can give you some tips if you like, but you would be amazed at what will polish out, my 03 has been an unbelievable transformation :naughty:

So I have gotten my muffler in and my tailpipe that I ordered will be here Wednesday and I'm gonna work on getting the rest of my pipe ordered and my hangers ordered as well. It's all stainless steel and 2.5in piping coming out at corners at downward angles. 0eabff878e87086b345631dc3d5328f7.jpg

So I've got my straight pipe in just need the bends. My bed is sanded down just a lil more correction needed and smoothing out the rough spot in the sanding. 6cccb300c9daa5b9f5f8b6bf5fbb6bc9.jpg
Thanks to demon Hemi I'm gonna try paint correction everywhere I can with chemical guys and a buffer.
And thanks to Derek with some pointers gonna try and wire up rock lights Friday while paint dries.

Now next part is hypothetical but very possible down the road I believe I may turbo it after the head is built. Something modest single 67mm I think. Problem is how I run it. I think I'll do a crossover in a Y-pipe style from drivers side to passenger side. And mount be turbo to the inner fender. Do a oil filter remote set up so I can tap into that for a feed line to the turbo. I wanna keep the front of the motor free of obstructions. The only reason for this is I want some more bottom end umph. And no one has done this before from what I can gather about it. I'll put some HD head parts in to accommodate this forced induction.
I get really bored at work staring at chassis parts all day and I start to think about these things. But that's all hypothetical atm.
