The first parts came in today......

New lower shock studs are here. I know this doesn't look like much, but these are pretty expensive for little studs, so be careful and don't break one like I did....

I replaced mine with SS bolts, much easier & cheaper. :favorites13:

That's what's in the one that I broke, but it makes it extremely difficult to take the shock nut off through a lowering spring. It's also not right, and I'm pretty OCD about things being right....:roflsquared:

You would not like my truck then, there are a lot of it not right, but works really good.

I'm very funny about things being done right. That's why it takes me so long to do things and even to make decisions about what to buy for it.

I'm ordering the fender rolling tool with truck adapter tonight in preparation for lowering the back some more and cleaning up my shoddy rolling job on the front fenders before it goes in to be welded.

I will be redoing my C-Notch over the winter, so my McGaughy's bolt on will be available. My McGaughy's helper bag kit will probably be leaving soon as well, since I'm going bag over axle.

No..... I'm putting an 8" bridge in it. Even though I'm planning on staying static for now, I need to be able to tow my trailer. The McGaughys bag kit is maxed out on drop right now, so I'm going to do bags over the axle for towing.

oh ok, you could always do your notch like mine, we made mine curved so it looks like the frame was made that way and is only minimally invasive to the bed

Thought about it, but I need a bridge which is going to be invasive no matter what. I'm going to end up doing a notch cover and wheel tubs anyway, I'm sure.

The new U-Bolts will be here tomorrow and the fender rolling tool with truck adapter will be here on Wednesday. It's going to be a fun weekend.

With my luck, it'll rain.

Another parts delivery day....... The blocks are just temporary to give me a good idea of how low I want the front to end up after the rebuild. Once the front is done and I get started on the rear, there will be no blocks or flip kit in the truck.

Now I'm just waiting on one more part to get here, the relocation brackets. MMW said they'll probably ship late this week. There's still plenty to do before they get here, starting with this new toy:

She's getting down there.

I'm going to lower the front about 1/2" more and I think I will call the stance perfect. Then I've just got to get everything cut/moved/welded to make it permanent and to ensure that she rides great and there's no clearance issues. That's the part that isn't fun. It's spending a lot of money and time to do things that aren't going to be visible, but have to be done to make it right.

Got the front bumper mocked up today. I figured out that I need the new plastic brackets that are under the headlights. They disintegrated while I was taking it apart. Once they get here, I'll get everything lined up perfectly and get it bolted down tight.
