truck looks good man, wheels/tires made a huge difference! Would look awesome with a lift, not a big fan of the stuffed wheel well look but thats just my opinion. Either way looks great!

Thanks bud! And in the first picture you can see it isn't as stuffed as the side picture looks; but I think it'll find another 1" of lift here soon.

So... It's hitting pretty hard on the drivers side. So I decided to cut it.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425083984.414950.jpg

The right side is hitting as well, but but as bad

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425084030.104434.jpg

So I started with cutting a notch in the rear drivers side

Then I did something silly... And let the dremel fall off the hood... And my reinforced cutoff wheel broke

So now we're in the truck heading to Home Depot.

A quick trip to the store ended up being... A few hours. We got back about 20 minutes ago.

But I did some more cutting! I think I may need to go a touch higher, then smooth them out.

And this is (from bottom to top) the one I broke, the one I used, and a new one for comparison.

Definitely more cutting then I anticipated. Next time I'll listen to those wiser then me (I went -12 offset instead of +1)

So I think up next is going to be the front bumper/air diffuser situation. The part that hangs down is the only part that still rubbing when I turn. So I just got bumped up from something I'll get around to the something I need to start looking into immediately.

Does anybody know if that chrome piece comes off the bumper or if I need a whole new bumper? If I have to get a whole new bumper I'm just gonna get a color matched one with the cut outs for the fog lights.

Ok... So a few things. First of course is the story; we were heading out of our neighborhood on a pretty bumpy road and we heard something from behind us on a big bump. It almost sounded like a spray can being tossed around. At first I thought it was the cans of plastidip that are under the rear seat, then I realized the sound was too metallic, loud, and consistent. I immediately started slowing down to pull over (this is a small 2 lane private road) I take a look underneath the truck and what do I see? (Picture taken later) Nothing. I see nothing where my exhaust is supposed to be on the drivers side.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425251117.764044.jpg

At the time it was hanging down caught on the brake/fuel/etc lines.

Apparently it worked its way out of the rubber hanger, and the clamp loosened up.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425252171.115332.jpg

It was putting hot gas right at all these wires

So this evening I reattached it.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425252720.766913.jpg

I also ordered the replacements shocks/struts for my topper

While I was under there I also discovered that I have a 26 gallon tank
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425252780.971308.jpg

Even though my build sheet says I have a 26 gallon tank
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425252804.858513.jpg

Plus an additional 2.5 gallons
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425252819.510925.jpg

I wonder if I have another small tank connected on the other side? I doubt it, but I'll look around next time I'm under it.

Also, I'm breaking this up into a few posts because each post has a limit of 5 attachments.

Ah man that sucks! Earlier this year I was driving with my girlfriend on a long bumpy road to her house when all of a sudden I heard a ding ding ding dingly ding and felt something very slightly. I looked back and there was my exhaust tip dancing around the road. Pulled over ran out and grab it and looked at the exhaust and saw my pipes are rusting, which is common for my weather plus the exhaust being over 10 years old. So this spring I'm looking at a new exhaust with stainless possibly instead of normal steel.

Good idea!

But luckily I did get a pretty sweet picture today!

So I got to fix the topper today [emoji1] (please ignore the shed-ina-box)

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425432207.700672.jpg

I went to the local Leer dealer and they wanted $60 for the shocks. I put the part number in on Amazon and got both for $25 with two-day shipping (I have Amazon Prime)!

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425432268.221423.jpg

I think it was about time to replace them...
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425432283.822670.jpg

And now it works like a proper topper!

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425432302.808648.jpg

And this may seem like a small thing, but when I have to load my bicycles into the back, or help my 6 dogs up; having that window out of the way is unexplainably helpful.

(In this picture one is by my side, and two are in the back seats)

I also made a new bicycle mount for my road bikes [emoji4]

We have a big charity ride on Sunday in Sarasota, so I'll get a chance to use it this weekend.
