Well folks, I finally had some time to go ahead and start on my build thread. Here she is, the day I brought her home. The only "mod" that it has from the lot is front spacers. I'm not sure how big they are but they will be coming off soon.... :

For me, this was a day that was a long time coming. Something about a man and his truck, honestly. It meant a lot to me as I had been through some tough times as I'm sure many of you had and never dreamed that I would be able to own such a nice truck. Well, here I was at the age of 29 purchasing my very own 4x4! I always like Mopar and decided to go with a Ram for several reasons.... My wife has always been a Mopar girl and I loved the looks of them. Plus the accessibility was nice with the QC and again, many other reasons which I'm not going to take all the time to type out. Thanks for looking and your comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless!! Enjoy the thread!!

First thing I did was get involved with the whole Plasti-dip thing. I have to admit, I was very nervous at first spraying this black stuff onto the red body, but was really happy I did:

Next, added some step rails and black-walled headlights:

Then I kept on going with the plasti-dip and did the wheels until I could figure out what I was going to do about wheels/tires and/or a lift kit. Then I grabbed some driving light vinyl covers and put them on too.

Next up was to get the brake lighting "tinted" to match the headlights. Grabbed some "Smoked" LED tails and a 3rd brake light.

Now I've decided that I'm going to lift it eventually, so I grabbed some pocket style fender flares, the slimmest I could find and had them painted to match the body color and added an "R/T" badge.

One mod that literally made me shake.... installing the clearance lights. These are Recons and I am VERY pleased with them.

The latest mod (as of 01/16/16) I did was the Opt7 LED headlights/driving lights.

Now as of today, here's what I have coming up:

Zone 6" suspension lift
Zone 1.5" body lift
Bilstein 5100's (which arrived this week)
20x10 Fuel Vapor D560's -18mm Offset
37x13.50x20 Toyo Open Country R/T's

And the probably this fall, I'm going to begin my hunt for a "performance hood" and also add an S&B intake. Somewhere in there I'm going to do a window tint as well. After that, who knows... :)

You have done extremely well with your add on and color enhancement. I can't imagine how sharp it will look once you have the lift and the wheels on it. :)

Thanks a lot, DRkNESS! I definitely can't wait to get everything done but I've been taking it one step at a time. The lift kit gets ordered on Friday next week and then wheels and tires will be sometime in February. I've got everything all lined up after hours of research and countless recommendations from the great people of this forum.

Looks great and I am sure once the lift arrives and is installed, will shine brightly under it.

I'm sneaky like that... Lol! Thank you!

Lift kits are getting delivered tomorrow. Then I just need to order the wheels/tires. That'll be sometime next month and then install will be in March.
