It’s hard to get the light to look right in photos but you can see how much better it is though. I only got one wired up tonight. I’m off to work for the week and will hopefully get the other wired up this coming weekend sometime. The stock backup lights have been replaced with led also.

It always earns rewards. Trying this cheap led strip. My old bumper was bent too bad and was blocking it.

Still need to stop being lazy and wire the second reverse light up, but me and my dad removed the tailgate today and I finally put my led strip on (hand washed the area and let it dry first for good adhesion) and it is awesome. Well worth the $9 (it’s $11 or so but I had eBay bucks)

The only thing, it plugs into the trailer harness so I won’t have it when towing. I’m thinking of running a second plug off the wiring but not sure if that would be a problem with too much power on the harness with the light strip and trailer lights even though they’re all led?

I’m loving mine. I need to put my new drivers door on. That side is the side with the body damage from the wreck it was in before me. I have paint but haven’t done it.

New front bumper is in order with new halo fog lights and I’ll Bedliner it like the rear

Switched to a 4” shorty antenna from ronin (I think that’s the name) only two stations suffered on my presets but they’re out of town stations. I mostly play my iPod through the radio anyways

Finally getting the new rear tires mounted. I’m reeeeally loving my headache rack

Finally installed my upper link bars and went from a 1/4” wheel spacer to 1/2” to prevent rubbing from the tire

I haven’t ordered a new one. The factory one is banged up. I plan to do a new bumper and fog lights.

Right now I’m working on led conversion. I did the headlights and didn’t realize I need the little box thing between them and the factory harness. Hey come on when the truck is off but flicker and turn off when you crank it.

I’ll get to the front bumper soon. It being bent down on the driver side has bothered me ever since I got the truck. It originally rubbed the tire hard, but I hooked it to a tree and put the truck in reverse to make it work for the time being [emoji23]

I put off the front bumper for now. My driver side passenger glass has been busted since I got the truck. I finally forced myself to spend the $152 on the glass (Talk about getting screwed) all because it’s a megacab. After this I think I’m going to have my exhaust finished at the shop then I’ll do the bumper. It’s already saved to my watch list. Been busy working with the truck and spending family time.

I never realized how much it bothered me/how bad it looked until it was finally replaced. Been about 3-4 years in the making.

@Jamesq87 Great Looking Mega! I basically have the same rig, just a 2500. ;) I really like what you've done so far.

The ‘06 uses some 2500 components. That’s one of the thing I like about it. I just wish I had a diesel.

I’m not fully sure but I’ve heard also that the rear leaf springs are different. I know that whenever I buy suspension parts I have to select a 2500.

It is “basically “ a 2500 with a leaf removed. I don’t know exactly with spring. I’ve heard rumors that the gearing is different and the (Hemi) motor is tuned different........ I haven’t really researched the truth to this.
