Nice. I too am trying to dechrome. I just got a mesh grill but might return it to just get something a little less 'see-through'. e7a5514688a1c6a2ac1ddab389eb1f6f.jpg

I've seen some others around town and they aren't that see through. Maybe it's just the brand. I am thinking of getting one of the emblems that go on the grill. Most people do them diagonal in the bottom corner.

No work on it yet, but put it to use today.. I'd like to think my Tetris skill level is pretty epic [emoji106]

I think that big, old school tv was probably the heaviest thing I hauled today [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
It took three of us to lift it high enough to get in the truck. I'm sure my back is going to kill me tommorow..

Ok, so time to fess up a little..
You guys ever notice that my photos were from the passenger side? Well, that's because when I got the truck it looked like this.....

Anyway, I bought a new fender from eBay within a week after Christmas.. but was waiting until I could order my new headlights before I installed it. I've been really bored lately and stressed about stuff so today, I decided I would put it on. I still need a new door because the drivers door was messed up in that accident too but the truck looks much nicer now to me.

Btw, that's not rust in the photos. It's leftover clay from off-roading.

That's about it for now. I plan to start truck driving school in a few weeks and if that works out, I will be away for a little.

My uncle had it before me (that's his new truck on the right) and he had a wreck with an suv. He drove it home once everything was said and done. It's just cosmetic, nothing structural is damaged.

Hopefully I can get the new headlights soon and install them. Not going with stock of course.

New headlights are ordered. I leave town on the 26th but It says estimated delivery is the 23rd. Hopefully they get here in time for me to install them.

Yeah, lights are sweet, but it was just my luck that I got duds. CS was great and they took them back no problem and opted for OEM style replacement.

What did you end up going with for lights? Just sticking with stock? I tried finding a thread from you but no luck haha

I did these lights before I joined the forum, they're just "chepo's", everything on here is just when I was going through an LED addiction. These are the lights I'm running now they're still not what I want, but I'm tired of throwing money into lights, after 4 set's and still not happy, I'm gonna wait till they come out with something that fits my taste. https://www.carid.com/lumen/black-euro-headlights-mpn-87-1001500.html?singleid=369459801&url=749532

They have decent reviews. I need new ones desperately and I really wanted some with the halo. I've ran eBay housings before on one of my s10's and they have been doing well. I still own the truck and no moisture issues.

The headlights, new grill, and bed lining the chrome portion of my front bumper is going to make the front end of my truck come together. Then I just need to do wheels and clean up the rear end of the truck.

Yes. I leave for Memphis Tennessee on the 26th and start company sponsored school on the 27th. I'll be leaving my truck here and having my fiancé crank it weekly and let it idle since I won't be home to drive it. They're paying for a bus ticket and hotel for the 3 weeks I'm there. I will then go shortly after finishing school, on the road for 5-6 weeks with a driver trainer before I'm approved to drive solo, at which point I will be assigned my very own truck and put out on the road. In 6 months I hope to get on a dedicated run so I am home every night. It will be hard to be married later and have a family when I'm not around to do anything.

That's awesome. I'm sketched out on the eBay lights. They're either good and last awhile or suck and get moisture within the first month.
Congrats on the truck school. I did that last summer and do not regret it. Mine was six weeks long and after I passed my drivers test for my license, I was driving truck the very next day with my company. Its almost been 6 months and the work has been easy. I've been home every night and yes it's hard when you have to work max hours when you have a wife and kid. But you do it for them so it works out (in my head). Good luck man. [emoji1303]
