1/2” rough country top hat spacers are installed. All that’s left on my list of things is new brake lines. Ordered 3” longer front and 2” longer rear. Not really needed but they’re stainless braid so should be nice. Front brake lines at full droop with the spacer are maxed. Could have just ordered 1” longer fronts and stock length rears. Rear brake lines have plenty but given that I have to cut the hard line to install I figured I’d go a little extra on length. Will post pictures after I receive them. Custom order so it’s expected a minimum of 2 weeks out from Klmperformance. Still throwing around the idea of rear control arms but I haven’t yet hit a limiting factor with them. Question for all you off-roaders. I understand what limiting straps are for. Would that be applicable in a situation like our trucks? Or is that more for long travel suspension
You don't happen to have a pic of these do you? I csnt seem to find them on their website

The 1/2” lift spacers. They’re an oddity. I bought the rough country 2.5” leveling kit. It uses a preload spacer and the top hat spacer. Obviously I did not install the preload spacer. Reason I bought the rough country ones is the center hole for the strut shaft to go through is the same diameter as the stock hole. Some other kits the hole is larger and allows the internal bushing to move around to much and squeak. I can’t find any pictures of the spacer itself. Similar to the one that @ram1500rsm purchased

Sorry I didn't specify.

That's exactly what I wanted to check out. The center support is a big deal for bilsteins using oem tops. Thanks!

Perfect pics for reference. The spacer that I ordered and crazykid is running look like the actual tops to your struts. We have that stupid oem designed top hat that allows the shock shaft to move unless it's supported at the top.

So this has been hiding in my garage for a week now. Waiting on injector spacers to show up. I can’t custom tune yet so running the 5.7 injectors. Plan on sending out the 6.4 injectors I received to injector clinic for a deep cleaning since the intake I purchased is used. I’ve ordered a few parts to mod this intake to accept running a catch can. It will require drilling a hole in the pcv mounting port and taping it to run a 1/4” npt fitting to 1/2” barb and plugging the stock pcv vacuum side hole that leads directly into the intake manifold. I will use the egr blockoff plate to mount another 1/4” npt to 1/2” barb fitting for my vacuum side. Everyone said it’s not possible. There is a way to do it without drilling but would require someone with a 3D printer or a cnc machine Which I do not have. They would have to design an adapter that plugs into the stock pcv valve port and instead of venting into the intake it would have to have a hole or nipple on the top to plug a hose into and run an external pcv valve. Simple design. I will post pictures when I get the chance.

Yes it is. I’ll be running the stock 5.7 injectors until I get my headers installed though. The 6.4 injectors only flow A little more plus they came with the intake. I plan on installing a cam and long tube headers down the road so the 6.4 injectors may be beneficial for me. I want to get them cleaned and flow tested.

Anyone have any experience with this brand truck tent/canopy? https://rightlinegear.com/truck-tents/truck-tents/ I have a folding tonneau cover with a built in storage/tool box so need one with no bottom. Trying to setup for mild over landing. Looking at building a pvc water tank as well out of a 12” pvc pipe. Measurements say I should be able to fit a 48” long tube and that should give me 23 gallons of water. Anyone running a homemade water tank? Need an idea for running a 12v pump for the water. Want to possibly do a marine pump and hose setup. Planning on adding an accessory battery to my tool box in the bed and a solar cell to charge the battery. Would strictly be for the water pump and maybe my tire pump or air pump for an air mattress as well if needed. Also planning on building a platform in the bed and carpet it so I can put an air mattress on it or a queen sleeping bag.

6.4 truck intake manifold and 6.4 stock air box is installed. Currently running 5.7 injectors with spacers. Now need to get a tune so I can swap in the 6.4 injectors and delete mds. May just have to buy a pcm from diablo... wanted to just unlock mine but may have to go the easy route. Can’t let my truck be down anytime soon. For anyone interested the 5.7 fuel rail does fit but needs a new hose for the crossover. Was a 5/16 high pressure fuel and transmission line. Also, drilled and tapped the 6.4 manifold to run my catch can. There is no way stock on the 6.4 manifold to run a catch can. If you look in the pictures you can see I drilled the egr blockoff plate and install a 1/2” barbed 90° fitting with a 1/4npt thread into the blockoff plate. The pvc side I drilled into the stock pcv housing and tapped it for another 1/2” barbed straight fitting with a 1/4” npt thread and just plug the stock vacuum port into the manifold so it only sucks through the catch can. Either jb weld or another form of putty should be good as long as it’ll harden and adhere to plastic. I have plans to add an aev snorkel in the future.

Here’s more pictures for everyone of my catch can install. First picture shows my nipple from the egr blockoff plate which is now my vacuum port for the catch can. the second picture just shows the tube running to the catch can. Third picture shows my nipple into the pcv housing which is the vent or pressure release side for the pcv to the catch can. Forth picture is hose routing from the pcv housing to the catch can. Fifth picture is what it looks like inside the pcv housing. Not shown is a hole 180° opposite of my nipple that was the factory vacuum port for the pcv housing. It is molded in the manifold and the only way to block it is with jb weld or some form of clay material that will harden and adhere to the plastic manifold. You will have to block it inside the pcv housing in order to have the only port working to be the catch can connection. I have plans to modify the pcv housing and completely seal it shut and run an external pcv valve. It would be easy for someone to 3D print or cnc machine a pcv valve replacement that has a 1/2” barb fitting out the top to run this without modifying the manifold like I did.

Well I did a thing. It’s a work in progress. With my bumper you can see the skid plates hanging off the truck pretty far and I didn’t like that. Plus I’ve been trying to figure out a way to add a removable skid for the bumper to continue down to the crossmember. Well I’ve decided to chop the factory skid plates just in front of the crossmember and weld a plate across. I will weld on some brackets to make attachment points this weekend and have a buddy willing to bend some 1/16” mild steel sheets to my measurements. I will just have to do all the finish trimming and seam welding myself. I have another buddy willing to powder coat the skids and the new lower bumper skid that I will be having bent up. Can’t wait to finish this up. Debating on going with black for easy touch ups and it’ll be easy since everything else is already black.

Finally fixed my leak in my truck. Rear Under seat used to flood bad. 3-4” in both sides. Fixed the 3rd brake light seal with a thicker replacement gasket and my back seat storage still got damp but no puddles anymore. Pulled the rear seats and sure enough, The pressure vents we’re leaking pretty good. The old ones didn’t even seal shut all the way plus the gasket was warped. Order the updated revisions for both sides. Popped them in and they fit great and sealed up tight.

The time has come! I have finally had my bumper skid bent and have it installed. Need to do all my finish welding and get done 1/4-20 stainless bolts and weld some nuts on the back of my brackets. Then I can paint everything for now until my buddy can get my parts in for powder coat. It is held in by 4 zinc coated self tap tech screws on both ends. Should be good until I can finish this up properly. I plan on adding another bracket across the top to stiffen the skid up slightly more and add another attachment point as well.

I have parts on the way to fix the stock crushed y pipe for now until I can get long tubes. Also have a plx wideband on the way so I can tune for the 6.4 injectors. Excited for that. Curious how much this is going to change the feel of driving my truck after getting a custom tune. I always hear everyone praising custom tuning. I’ve never even had a canned tune on my truck. Will be pulling the pcm to ship for unlock soon. Probably next week (finally)

Forgot to put all the pcv valve pictures here. Photo dump time. Pcv valve gutted and a 1 way restrictor valve installed. Internally it is a vacuum ball valve. The stock pcv is a spring loaded plunger. Stock pcv vacuum port is plugged to allow full vacuum through my catch can. Installing the one way restrictive has increased the vacuum pressure on the crank case and I may need to install a fitting on the fresh air side to reduce airflow. Not sure if it will pull a lean fuel due to a vacuum leak from the increased air flow through the pcv system.

I ended up installing my spare functional pcv valve. Was getting some low rpm lag. Assuming it was pulling a vacuum leak but no CEL. Also I finally received my passenger side mirror glass. Not as convenient as the driver side so but it is great when backing into tight parking spots so that’s a plus.

Finally reinstalled my fan controller. Used fuse taps this time to make things easier. I had previously removed it for a warranty claim. Still waiting on RPMExtreme to get back with me on the canbus controller for the pentastar fan. Last I heard the guy had it operational but had to find a truck to do testing on but then COVID-19 decided to show up.
