A little surprised by the level of damage on the Pontiac, vs the outward appearance of the Lexus. Plus, that didn't trigger an Air Bag deployment?

It wasn't even in motion, but had that been an "run red light" broadside type of collision at speed, any passenger in the Pontiac would clearly would have suffered fatal injuries. American steel isn't all it's cracked up to be sometimes, regardless of how beautifully crafted it is.

And that is why they don't make hardtop coupes much any more. The side just isn't strong enough to pass the government mandated side intrusion standards.
But my gosh how fast was she going to jump the flower bed and push the Le Mans across the parking spot that far?

And why didn't her airbag go off?

I'm thinking some rubbing compound and maybe a clay bar, then a bit of wax and will be good as new.

But if I'm wrong I hope the Pontiac owner had good classic car insurance.

This goes to illustrate pretty well Modern Vehicles Vs "Big Tough" Classic Iron in an accident.

There are some great front offset crash test videos out there too, Holy ****, classics just disappear under impact!

Lady had a Lexus. The Lawyer for the LeMans' owner is probably driving it now.

When in doubt, sick some ambulance chasing shyster on em. "Get me Greenbox and Veggieburger!" or "Dewey, Cheatum and How!" :burnout:

So true. I was a "Traffic Collision Investigator Specialist" for many years, and it still would blow me away to see the extreme differences in damage.

Just like performance, the durability and safety of those wonderful old "Muscle Cars" simply does not hold up in reality when compared to modern machinery. I suppose, it is best to leave those visions in the past. Like the old high school "first love" flame, who you think would have been the "perfect match". You still picture her in your mind as sweet, beautiful and ideal. While in reality, she's out there somewhere, a total train wreck physically, financially and psychologically. Better off living in modern reality, with where and with who you already are with or may find in the future. To quote a line from an old Eagles tune "Never look back, you can never go back". So true.
