Swap me??

I've posted in the wanted section but have had no luck. I have a '17 sport with the chrome slat grille inserts.. wanting the black honeycomb inserts. Anyone willing to swap?? Figured I'd get more viewers in this section than in the other :favorites13:

Where are you located? Would you be willing to take the plastidip off prior to trading?

Ya....I can only imagine that task lol.

My grill is dipped too.

The BEST solution for dip removal is the actual dip remover from DYC. It literally desolves it into mush and can be hosed off.

I have a new 2017 Ram 1500 with 2,5** miles on it. I would be willing to do that trade.

Dude, that's pretty shady. This guy goes to all the trouble of pulling the dip off for you, which I probably wouldn't have done in the first place, and then you tell him to forget it, you found another one.

Not cool. I'd be p*ssed!

Actually it's not shady. There was a miscommunication error on both of our parts. He never PM'd me to confirm I even wanted to do the trade. I just asked if he'd be willing to take the plastidip off if we did end up trading. I messed up by not coming back on here to let everyone know I found another member to trade with. But I wasn't out to screw someone over. I do apologize.

No worries. We PM'd each other and someone else actually bought the inserts from him so it all worked out.

Yes , like the look of this and is what I am wanting to do , mostly because the plasti chrome is flaking , what would be the best way to remove and prep these pieces for paint.. and are they actual plastic slats ? I have not removed them yet . I thought about maybe a light sand blast type process ? Chemical dip ? I would want to spray them with actual automotive paint and clear them .. I would think they would hold up against bugs and stuff as well as the plastic painted front bumper .. any thoughts would be really appreciated .

Why not just pull them out and have them painted..... ...
