thanks, been chasing them on car-part for awhile, even purchased a couple, one ended up being an RA-3 and the other a Canadian RA4, let the search continue.... could get one for 600 E.Z. but hate too since many guys are claiming finding for $400.. guess i'll keep being patient

To my knowledge there's nothing wrong with going with a Canadian RA4CA

Items you won't have with th Ca.
1 ) real Time traffic & weather ( it still has U.S Maps for Nav. )
2 ) 3g cell signal ( which means you don't need the shark fin antenna kit or 911 delete plug)
3 ) uconnect apps ( which is no problem because uselessconnect will not allow a subscription to non factory installed RA4 8.4 anyway .)
4 ) I believe there are fewer camera / video inputs ( which could be rectified in the future with a lock pick air V2 " I THINK" )

All correct except i am not sure on the 4th point. My backup camera works just fine. I'm sure you can also wire in a cargo camera as its been done. I think 2016 have you the option to go back and forth between the two on the 8.4 screen.

if I had to do it all over again, at this point I would have just kept the CA one and ran with it, as RLK states most of the differences are not that great, but my initial decision to return it was mostly due to reading many posts I had convinced myself if I was going to do the upgrade I would prefer the full functionality of the NA.. hind sights 20/20

I know what you mean. I have had 2 RA4 CA's and I specifically hunted them knowing that I did not want/need the aircard or apps feature.
