After nearly 2 years and 50k miles in the company truck, I still can't get used to it being so quiet. Looking for a deal on a 24" dual output mufflex, or possibly an 18. Anyone have one for sale? Not looking to spend a lot since it is going on a company truck.

If you have duals just add the 5" tips. If you go with the ones from Moe's they add a nice little rumble even to stock, and you can always change back before the boss sells the truck.

There's really that much change just from the tips?

I don't think the tips would be as much of a change as you want, they wouldn't be cheap either ($200)

Tips do make a difference over stock. They are deeper and more resonant--also they bolt on so you aren't messing up the boss's truck--its all reversible. This way you're not buying a muffler and paying for welding only to leave it all behind. $200 for tips you own, or about the same for the stuff you leave behind.

You will be able to hear the exhaust as compared to the silent stock muffler, but no, its not going to sound like a Cherry-bomb.
