We are thinking about meeting up at truck nationals in Carlisle PA August 3 or 4. I will personally be going both days to check it out.

I'm planning on going on the 3rd. We could meet up either on Rt. 81 or just off the exit for Carlisle. I know of a Sunoco station on the main road that would could meet up and head on over to the fair grounds.

That sounds good. Can you get the address to the Sunoco and post it up. Then people can get directions and we can come up with a time to meet up.

A good idea, but the Sunoco station is closer to the entrance to 81.

The address for the Sunoco Station is

Sheetz is 3 mile closer to the fairgrounds on the same road
3 miles isn't a big deal unless your getting there when everyone else is (no idea what traffic is like for truck nationals)
Just a suggestion, we've tried meeting up at different places for ford and chrysler nationals and have stuck with Sheetz cause it's easy to get to as well as in and out of

Your idea is a good one. I just know that traffic starts to build up at that intersection and I figured it would be easier to meet up at a spot that is right off the main highway.

But if other members who are going would rather meet up at the Sheetz. I'm willing to do that as well.

if you guys are going as spectators where do you plan to park your trucks? It will cost you money to park anywhere near the fairgrounds.

That is very true. I saw prices anywhere from $10 to $15 near the fairgrounds, but it's cheaper than paying the $55 to park on the fairgrounds in the show field.

So does everyone want to meet up at the Sunoco I posted about or the Sheetz station?

I would like to get to the meeting point as close to 9 a.m. as possible do to traffic.

It was worth haveing a spot in the show field last year at Chrysler nationals just to go sit in the truck in the A/C and to not have to carry a fender for my dads challenger to who knows where
