so I just found out about this ram runner truck, and I basically just want the look.

would the truck look bad if I did the front fenders, bumper 2" level with 35" tires and the hood ?

id scrap the hood idea, so many trucks have that its not worth the extra IMO,

Go for addictive desert designs front bumper over the kore, its way more solidly built, and bolts directly to stock mounts, where as the Kore one you have to cut off the factory mounts and weld on new ones, incase you ever get tired of it, you could atleast sell the ADD bumper.

Im not sure youd clear 35s with just a 2" level, but with the front fenders, possibly!

hmm wonder if it would look ok if I just got a more aggressive set of wheels and kept the factory sized tires ?

this ram runner is already expensive and I have not even done a thing yet

I would look at the bilstein 5100's for it.

if you want the look but no the cost i would run a 4" lift, bumper and fenders. like 4x4 said the add bumper would be better in case you ever sell the truck or want something different. but its also twice the price as kore. and a more aggressive set of wheels to fill in the fenders. with a 4" kit youd still gain ground clearance if you over take it off road

ADD price iiiiis 2 times more, but you dont have to weld it on. If your not a welder, or dont know a welder, you could pay 400 bucks to get the bumper welded on as kore says it can take 4 hours.

If your looking to not spend alot then bilsteins are the way to go. Im considering getting an 8 inch lift with the front fenders and 37s, havent decided on the fenders though.

4 inch lift would be sweet but your also talking 2000-3000 bucks.

You will definitely need new wheels and tires to make this though.

Fenders: 600+ ship+ 500 in paint install atleast.

Bumper: kore 800+ship+ welding ADD 1500+shiip

Tires and wheels: 2500ish for 35s

Bilstiens: 280

4 inch lift: 2000-3000

just basic numbers, i think, i could be wrong guys dont kill me for this, just trying to help out haha.

scary numbers :/

that is true. i didnt think about install costs. also if you want to go cheaper you can do fiberwex fenders at $350. but still need paint.

i was suggesting a 4" lift because the actual ram runner kit adds a 3" lift. so you pay 2000 instead of 7000 and it looks the same height. tires will also depend on whether or not you do a/t or m/t.

^^^^ this is true. just depends on if you want to spend that extra money on a lift kit or not, that is a good idea though i think

I agree with 4x4Hemi on the ADD bumper.

If it was me going the pre-runner look i'd do:
Bilstein 5100
35 or 33" Tires
Wheels
ADD front and rear with 21.5" LED bar

If you want to go crazy you can add:
Kore CVs
MMW UCAs
Fiberwerx Fenders
Retro heads
Roof Light Bar mount with 50" LED bar

Ram runner capabilities

With this kit, does the truck loose a lot of its towing ability with the rear of the truck being able to sink so low??

With the ram runner kit im assuming it will lose a little bit of towing. Just based on how the raptor is (similar shock setup) it can only tow 7400lbs instead of 10,000 or whatever the f-150's can do. im not 100% sure, but thats my guess.

you could always email the kore guys to see if they know

The stage 1 kit from KORE is a 3-3.5" lift. They use the Bilstein 5100s similar to the leveling struts but they are revalved and have an extra notch machined in them for the increased clearance. That kit is only $2,000 and gives you the same lift as the ram runner. Then you could just use some wheel spacers to get some more track width with front fenders, a lightbar, and pull your factory bedsides. Fairly cheap, will look like a mild prerunner and still able to drive offroad hard. Or even just the regular Bilsteins with an .125" steel spacer on top for ~2.375" for a low budget. A lot of prerunners sit low in the sagged position as they use most of their travel in droop.

I had 2" wheel spacers with full fiberglass on my old ranger and I jumped it and drove it as hard as I wanted and had no issues ever. As long as they are good quality hubcentric spacers you'll be fine. I'm thinking of going this route with my '07 but gonna look into these fenders as they're only $280 and fab my own lightbar/skid plate.

This thing got looks everywhere and was fun as hell to drive but a fraction of the cost of a real prerunner.
