One of the issues with brand new vehicles is you don't know the true age of the battery, level of charge, and if it ever was drained on the lot and not completely charged by the dealer if it did drain.

I don't know how many times I've noticed battery chargers on brand new vehicles at dealer lots.

Could be the alternator, could be just a bad battery. That is known to happen from time to time.
Good luck and keep us posted!

The battery tested good, the auto headlight switch is functioning properly. The dealer is saying the ABS module is going "live" while the truck is parked and staying "live" until the battery drains dead. They ordered a ABS module and will have it fixed tomorrow morning.

Never would have guessed that. Hope that takes care of the problem.

Sometimes you just get bad batteries, I know it sucks but it's really not that big of a deal. My 07 Silverado battery went dead without warning at 30000 miles. You're under warranty so just take it to the dealer.

Different brand- My 2010 Ford F-150- go to start it - Won't start- No noise nothing - I grab the spare out of the center console- Fires right up- it only does this when it is cold- I know the keys " Are chipped" and the ford dealer tells me " Could be multiple things but the battery in the key isn't one of them- Pkus it on does it on cold mornings- So just another way to trouble shoot- Try a different key Fob-
Glad they found the issue-

My wife's Santa Fe lit up like a Christmas tree about 4 months after we bought it. Every idiot light on the dash was on and it had a bunch of messages about servicing a whole slew of things on the display. Car started and ran just fine but you'd think we started carpocalypse from the dash. Dealer put a new battery in and everything has been fine since. It's weird what a car does these days with a battery issue.

I wonder what this button does?

That is a classic ground side battery issue either with the cable or the battery. A lot of 2013-2014 Wranglers had issues coming off the line where the negative battery cable was not tight enough and people got the Christmas Tree light effect on the dash also.

WELL....Picked up from the dealer, trucks been great, no problems, no issues at all. 1st day off in a week, go out this afternoon and the trucks dash lights are flickering, no interior light power, and truck won't start. Dead as a doornail, with the exception of the dash lights. Waiting on the tow truck right now to take it to the closest dealer.

Man that really bites. It tough to take your vehicle in when holding down a job. Glad its under warranty. I would make sure they give you a free loaner.

Well its obviously more then the battery. That has gotta suck. The second time I would for sure throw a temper tantrum, everyone is different, who cares. And so what about the 3.6, he went to dealer & bought a truck he wanted. I have an 03 that I just put a remanufactured motor in. Also have b2500 van with a 3.9. The 3.9 is the balls. Anyway, hope you get truck figured out, & be patient with the dealership tomato heads,

Andrea from RAM CARES called me this morning saying she was involved in my situation. I had already talked to the servicing dealer. They were going to jump the truck, get it in the shop and do some tests. Bottom line is...I stopped at the dealer around 3pm, my truck is sitting outside. The Service Manager said the battery is good, they have no rental cars for me. Take the truck, hopefully it holds up and I can bring it back in when they have a rental available. Andrea from RAM CARES said if I wanted to pay for a rental vehicle up front they would re-imburse me. I wasn't willing to do that. (I feel that I shouldn't have to fork out anything out of pocket after purchasing a vehicle with a warranty.)

Mine only had that problem after I replaced the original battery for the first time. Didn't get the terminal clamps tight enough on the new battery. Ended up eventually ruining the battery because of a few times where the battery would drain from insufficient recharging from lose terminals. Even got a few occasions of the CEL coming on for low battery voltage. By the time I figgered all that out it was too late. Took a gamble replacing that battery with a 250-dollar red top Optima and made sure almost every day for about the first several days that the terminals where nice and gutentight....haven't had that problem since and that was almost two years ago that I've had the red top.
