It didn't make sense for me to buy a 10 year old truck for 35k " Diesel" when I could get a brand new gas for 39k - The apr alone on the loan meant I saved money by buying new. That's another factor to think about.

Those are some insane prices, and sadly it is exactly the same way in my area. That is the biggest reason I have been looking for almost 2 years, and still don't own one yet. I am definitely going to look at new as I found out I get special "supplier" pricing on RAM trucks through my work as the company I work for supplies parts to the auto industry so they get special discounts. It's hard to know the exact numbers until you really get into the process but it looks like somewhere between $4000 and $6000 off, plus whatever other incentives they have going at the time. And it also applies to new old stock, so a guy may be able to get a pretty good deal when the new model year stuff comes out. Worth looking into I guess.

And I do like the Laramie package, although I always have the nagging feeling it's just more crap to eventually quit working and need replacing LOL.

For what it's worth I just got $11k off my Laramie, around $3k of which was because of Affiliate rewards pricing. They will usually give more of a discount on higher trims like Laramie and up, but you could still probably get $8-10 off on a Big Horn if you find the right dealer.

Its crazy to see some prices of Diesels around the US especially used. right now here in NV you can get a Laramie cummins crew cab 6'4 bed for 55k but also you can get a 2016 with 20k miles on it for around 40K

A lot of people dont understand that mods actually hurt resale value, in most cases drastically. They think the mods THEY like increase the value of the truck to whatever they want to sell it for. Anyone who would pay more than $20k for that truck needs to get their head checked. Dude wants $52. LOL

As the saying goes, " you can ask all day, doesn't mean you're going to get it " lol.
